Katsuki wasn't really paying attention when Aizawa was announcing that there was going to be a new student. It's not like he cared, just another extra that would get in his way. But when the kid walked into the classroom and announced his name as 'Izuku Midoriya' his head snapped up. He had doubted they were the same, the Izuku he knew died when they were six.

But he was met with the same mossy green hair and vivid eyes he remembered. The new kid looked exactly like the one he knew, except somehow older, wiser. He looked like he's seen a lot in his life which is understandable, Katsuki didn't know what he went through. Either way, he was going to get answers one way or another.

"So! Anyone have any questions please raise your hand, it's hard to answer when everyone's talking over each other." Izuku said as he lightly hopped up onto Aizawas desk seeing as he wasn't using it. Almost immediately several hands went up and he called on a boy with bright red hair that was spiked up.

"Why were you transferred here?" The boy asked and Izuku noticed his teeth were strangely pointed but thought nothing of it for the moment. Instead, he answered the question.

"Nezu thought my analysis skills would be useful." He said before calling on a kid with people balls for hair.

"Do you know any hot ch-""Next question!" Izuku cut him off, not liking where it was going and instead went to answer the question of a girl with frog like features.

"What's your quirk? Kero." The girl asked and a smirk made it's way onto Izukus face, deciding to give the class a hard time.

"My quirk is for me to know and you to find out." Izuku said and heard a few groans of protest.

"C'mon, it isn't that bad is it?" A girl who looked like the concept of the color pink asked with a pout. Izuku just grinned at her, eyes gleaming mischievously.

"It's probably useless." The purple ball haired boy from earlier muttered.

"Maybe it is but that doesn't mean anything. A quirk isn't everything." Izuku replied.

"Bet I can beat you in a fight, whatever your dumb quirk is." The other replied. Izuku couldn't resist the amused smile at his declaration and Aizawas sigh of slight disappointment that his student was underestimating Izuku. They clearly didn't take him being a vigilante seriously. The ex-vigilante just gave the other kid a look before shrugging.

"Maybe." Izuku said, annoying the short boy even more.

"What do you mean 'maybe' you just got here. There's no way you have that much fighting experience, we fought villains!" He said, almost proudly. Izuku frowned at the mention of villains, he was well aware of this seeing as he was there but they didn't need to know that just yet.

"Fighting villains this early on isn't something to be proud of, do you know how many things could have gone wrong? How many people could have died? Having a real fight for your life while only being teens shouldn't happen." Izuku said, including himself in that.

"So? We lived right." The other said almost snottily. Izuku shrugged, he tried warning him in his own kinda way. But if the kid wanted a fight, then he'd get a fight. He looked at Aizawa, the question clearly in his eyes. The teacher sighed and with a quiet 'whatever' Izuku turned back to the class.

"You want a fight? Meet me on the P.E. grounds in five minutes. If I win, you leave the girls alone, if you win I'll tell you my quirk." Izuku said and the class erupted into excited chatter.

Aizawa led the rest of the students out into the field to wait for the two that will be fighting.

"Now, I was going to have you train for the upcoming sports festival but this is way more entertaining." The teacher said, hiding a shit eating grin underneath his scarf. The class was in for a show alright.

They watched Izuku came out with three minutes to spare and started stretching as he waited for Mineta. Soon enough the small grape like teen came out, standing on the other side of the field. Izuku faced Mineta, oddly calm as he went up against someone who, to class 1-A, had more fighting experience. Although, if you asked any of the girls they'd answer that they were personally rooting for the new boy. None of them really liked Mineta, granted he was very perverted and always tried looking up their skirts.

As soon as the fight started Mineta began throwing the balls that were on his head mostly at random as they stuck to the ground. Izuku watched this in interest, avoiding the new hazard the other brought.

Izuku could have went ahead and charged at the annoying grape head but instead choose to stay back. He analyzed the other students quirk, putting on a nervous facade that fooled his short opponent.

"So that's his quirk? It's mostly good for long range and traps so he wouldn't be that good at close range. He doesn't seem that strong and by his size should be light, it won't be hard to knock him out of bounds." Izuku whispered to himself, so the while twisting between the sticky projectiles. The green haired boy ducked under another attempt to hit him with the balls before lunging forward quickly, easily stepping in between the sticky traps on the ground.

He got to the shorter boy in seconds, instantly kicking him up into the air as he twisted into a roundhouse kick that sent him flying out of bounds. There was a stunned silence that followed Izukus win, the class staring with wide eyes at the amount of skill the short boy displayed.

"Like I said, quirks aren't everything. And never get overconfident, that can lead to getting killed out in the field." Izuku said to the stunned class.

He was walking back to the locker room when he felt a hand grip his shoulder, he resisted flipping whoever it was over, instead calmly turning around. He was met with familiar crimson eyes and spiky ash-blond hair, eyes filled with confusion.

"...... Deku?" Katsuki asked. Izuku smiled slightly, not the teasing smirk from earlier but a true smile.

"Long time no see, Kacchan."
