We really explored everywhere each day in the month of June. We already went to many places: hiked up to the mountain ranges, go to some cities and celebrate the fiesta with the locals, and dip our bodies into the deep lakes and hidden waterfalls, but our favorite one was deciding on what place should we go next for our island hopping.
sa iba't ibang panig ng Pilipinas ang pinuntahan namin, though we don't stay in that place for a long time since limited lang ang aming oras. Maximum of three days lang kami nags-stay sa isang lugar, good thing hindi pa masyadong mabigat ang mga study loads ni Dream.
"Angganda dito," giit niya habang naglalakad na kami pabalik sa airport.
"Yeah, we should go back here next time," pagtango ko.
Our 3-day escapade at El Nido just ended and now we're heading back home. On our first day here, El Nido already stole my heart. The beautiful locals, the outstanding nature, everything just feels good here.
"It's almost your birthday," I said and glanced at her.
"Oo alam ko. 'Wag mo nang ipaalalang patanda na ako nang patanda," pag-irap niya.
"Where would you celebrate your day?"
"In your arms, kung pwede. Kung pwede lang naman," she chuckled.
I sighed and shook my head. When will I ever get a normal answer from this woman.
"Luh, joke lang e. Sa ano, kalanggaman island," tinaas-baba niya ang kilay habang malawak ang ngiti.
"Island rin. Copy cat," I playfully rolled my eyes before smiling.
"Grabe, hindi ba pwedeng--osige na nga at least hindi rin sa bora diba edi mas halatang copy paste 'yon," she pouted like a swan.
The boarding was already announced in the departure area kaya tumayo na kami at naglakad.
"Did you already invite your friends?" I asked while we were heading to the plane.
"Yup, hindi rin masyadong marami ininvite ko. Yung mga tao lang na may ambag talaga sa buhay ko," nagkibit-balikat siya.
When we already sat down to our designated seats, nagpahinga na kami. We slept during the flight and woke up before the plane landed. Kinuha ko na ang backpack ko habang dala-dala niya ang kanyang maleta.
"What's our travel route on our way there?" I asked when we stepped out.
"Manila to Cebu. Then fast craft Cebu to Ormoc, tapos nag rent na kami ng mga van na Ormoc to Palompon," she explained.
Patango-tango ako at tumingin sa paligid. We immediately saw my car. Arus was there while smiling at us, Apollo wasn't able to pick us up since nasa condo siya at naghahanda. Dream and I walked to Arus' direction.
This scenario just feels like deja vu every single time. My feet stepping out of the plane, my back against the car's seat, Dream's smiles while planning where to go next, everything. It feels like a routine that I will never get tired of doing.
When we got inside the car, I sat on the shotgun seat while Dream was on the back. Arus turned on the engine as we made our way out of the airport.
"Uy Dream, birthday mo na pala sa makalawa?" tanong ni Arus habang nakatingin sa daan. I rested my back and closed my eyes while listening to the surroundings.
"Yup, hindi marami ininvite ko, tayo-tayo lang. Sa Kalanggaman!" maligaya niyang sabi.
"Sa'n 'yan?" nagtatakang tanong ni Arus.
