"Dearest volunteers of World Aeronautical and Space Administration, I would like to announce to each and everyone of you that today will be the last day of the distribution. Always remember to finish your assigned task and focus on helping the victims. Thank you." The head of the volunteering said.

Napangiwi si Venus nang narinig ang announcement. Some of the volunteers that we saw in the mall were also disappointed. The head clapped repeatedly while telling us to start rechecking. Inituro niya ang mga kahon at sinabihan kaming isa-isang i-recheck ang mga 'yon.

We quietly moved around the basement while rechecking the relief goods. We inspected the amount of goods in every box and checked the expiration date of every product to make sure that it's safe to be distributed.

After an hour, the sun was already showing in the horizon while we were looking out of the window as the vehicle runs to our next destination.

Nang nakarating na kami ay agad ring tumigil ang truck na nakasunod sa amin. Isa-isa kaming bumaba ng service at dinaluhan ang truck upang kunin ang mga kahon at simulan ang pagdistribute.

The whole morning was draining me. Well, everyday was draining my energy. Pawis na pawis ang noo ko habang pagod akong umupo sa likod ng truck. I have just distributed some relief goods to 30 houses. The sun's rays didn't parch my skin but it surely made me sweat. Pagod na pagod rin ang mukha ni Venus at ng iba pa naming kasama habang papalapit sa truck. Venus was wiping her forehead with the back of her palm and her hair was already tied into a ponytail. Tumabi siya sa'kin nang nakalapit habang ang ibang volunteers ay kumuha ng mga kahon.

"Wipe your fricking sweat, Brave," Venus scowled and gave me a bottled water.

I nodded and accepted the water. Inilapit niya ang kanyang ulo sa katawan ko at sandali akong inamoy bago ngumiwi at umiling nang paulit-ulit.

"You smell like a rotten rat," insulto niya habang may nang-aasar na ngiti.

"Yeah? And you smell like the sun," tugon ko.

Taas-noo niya akong tiningnan at sumilay ang nagyayabang na ngiti. "I know."

I looked away and stopped myself from the urge to smile. Amoy araw siya.

We both stopped and held our wireless earpiece when the head of the volunteering team spoke.

"Dearest volunteers and crew of the volunteering team, kindly proceed to the service. We're heading back to the headquarters for lunch," giit nito.

"Thank God, i'm hungry," Venus groaned and immediately jumped off the truck and went to the service. The volunteers were also approaching the service so it immediately got full when we all entered. I could hear their relaxed sighs while resting their heads on the head rest.

Tumunog ang makina ng aming sinasakyan at humarurot ito paalis. A music was played and some of them sang along while wiping their sweats. Nang tuluyan na kaming nakarating sa headquarters ay naabutan namin ang mga Commanders na nakaupo sa mahabang mesa. They smiled at us so we greeted them and gathered around the table. Isa-isa kaming inabutan ng tubig habang ang iba sa'min ay pinagpapawisan pa rin. Nang tuluyan nang nakaupo ang lahat ay nagsimula na kaming kumain.

"Aight, this will be the last time that we could stroll around," Venus whispered.

"And tomorrow would proably be the last day of our short stay," I whispered back.

"That sucks. I hope not," she shook her head in disappointment before reaching for the water.

Patuloy kaming kumain at sandaling nagpahinga bago sinenyasan ng head na pumunta na ulit sa service. The Commanders were also called for a meeting kaya tumayo na rin sila.
