Chapter 42

Behind me was Martin looking at me with tears in his eyes and a bouquet of roses in his hand.

"See, I hired Max to talk to you. Jane was perhaps the least suitable person right now to talk to you, honestly I don't know why but I thought she wasn't the right person and I, well, I was definitely the last person  you wanted to talk to, so I focused on Max. He was the first person you met here in America and I saw that you have a lot of complicity with him. As soon as I saw that you ran to him and embraced him crying I understood  that with him you would have exposed and vented, I wanted to see if I was still important to you, if I told him that you didn't want me anymore I would have known that you really didn't care about me anymore because you would have trusted him enough to tell him  the truth, whatever it was. Now I know you still love me and I love you too, I never stopped loving you. You were the most beautiful thing that ever happened to me, before meeting you I never knew the  love, the real one. Claudia I really love you and trust that one  she told me the story she completely slipped on me because I have to tell you something too ... "Look down as if he were going to tell me something that will hurt me, I don't know what he will have to say to me but worse than what I did  I can never be.

"Max, thank you for everything, you are a true friend, the best I have ever met, I love you and I thank you for cheering me up."  I say looking at my best friend.

"And I thank you for helping me get closer to Claudia."  Martin continues.

"I love you guys."  Max is a quiet guy with few words but when he opens his mouth he only says beautiful and intelligent things, he never speaks in vain and even these four words are sincere, come out of the heart.  Then smiling, he walks away.

"Claudia, let's sit down. The last time you didn't make me speak now, therefore, I want to speak only me and I would like you to listen to me ..." -I nod, I don't want to interrupt him, I want to make up with him by hearing what he has to say-  "... I tell you without words, the only reason Jane's uncle took you for the movie was that she wanted me to star in another movie, the audition I did wasn't for  Frank movie but for another one, so now I have to shoot two different films, but I asked Jane to speak with her uncle and she replied that, apart from me, Frank is still willing to take you for the film, he says you would really be  perfect for that role. So having said that, I only have two questions to ask you. First I wanted to ask you if you were still willing to get back with me and secondly I wanted to ask you to prepare together for the making of this film. "

I don't say anything, I think about it a little.  I reflect on both the proposals he made me but I come to the conclusion that there was really nothing to think about, it was obvious that I wanted to say yes to both.

I suddenly kiss him and I understand that I really love him and I really want to make my dream come true.
