CHAPTER 60: Heir

Artemis' POV

Nakatayo sa harap ko ang taong hindi ko inaasahang makita. My late best friend.

Daniel Mendez or should I say Daniel Castilleano.

No record of him states that he is their son unless... I never met his father not even once. He doesn't like talking about him either. But his air changed, he's eyes unsincere and angry.

I can't speak. I thought he was dead. Did they lie to me about this? My friends lied but they have reasons.

"Don't come near me." Tumayo ako sa kama palayo sa kanya, kahit gusto kong tanungin siya ay walang nalabas   sa bibig ko.

I should be happy but guilt and remorse covered my chest.

"Artemis." it came out naturally from him.

"I thought you were dead." I answered unable to look him in the eyes.

"Almost...he saved me when they declared I'm dead." he pinch my chin to lift my head. His eyes are blood red.

"Don't touch me." I slapped his hand.

"Ako pa din ito." he pleaded

"No, your not." I retorted "You are not Daniel, my bestfriend."

"Bestfriend?" he looks angry "I love you! Didn't you see that? I know it's because of him."

Pinakita niya sa akin ang picture namin ni Jared. Sa school, magkausap ng nakangiti. Naluluha akong tumingin sa kanya. Paano niya nakuha ito?

"Alam mo naman na hanggang pagiging kapatid lang ang tingin ko sayo!" I screamed. Inalog niya ang balikat ko.

"I want more than that!" He raised his voice making flinch "I'm sorry." bigla niya akong niyakap.

"You are sick!" I spat the words in his face "This is not love. You are obssesed."

"I love you!" niyakap niya ako.

I pushed him para humiwalay siya sa akin. That made him more angry. I heard my ringing phone. Kukunin ko na sana ito ng harangan niya ako.

"You can't answer that." he declared narrowing his eyes.

"Kinokontrol mo na ako?!" I screamed  so loud my voice echo in the large room.

I used what I learned sa training. Sending him blows but he matches my moves. We outmanoeuvre each other. I got my phone ng maitumba ko siya.

It's Jared!

"Hello!" voice sent hope in my system tinatrack siguro nila ang number ko. I tried to grab the doorknob pero hinila ako ni Dan.

"Sakto! I want to let him hear you cry." he threatened me grabbing from the back. Hinagis niya ako sa kama.
"Hear her scream Jared. Artemis should have been mine in the first place!"

"Fuck you! Wait until I break that face of yours!" he burst on the other line.

Restraining my hands he unbuttoned my unform. Lifting my skirt he forcefully kissed me on the jaw.

"Tama na!" I screamed crying halos mamaos na ko.

"I will kill you! Don't let me see your face!" he let's out a berserk on the phone.

This is not him anymore. He is no longer the friend I know.

"Hmm!" his biting my lips. He's too strong. I can't even move under him

"Tangina mo!" malutong na mura sa kabilang linya.

"Jared..." I cried my heart out. Please save me from this monster. "...tulungan mo ko..."

"He can't... Artemis." ngumisi ng nakakaloko si Dan o kung sino man ang halimaw na ito.

"Baliw ka na!" matapang kong tinitigan siya sa mata.

"You want to see how crazy I am?" sinira niya ang blouse na suot ko. Buttons flying in every direction.
He kissed my chest marking the exposed skin.

Screaming and crying came at once.

Tatlong katok ang narinig namin sa pinto. Sumilip ang isang lalaki sa pinto. His blonde hair didn't match his smug expression. Another traitor.

"Sorry to interupt you " he started "but the witch is here." Sinarado niya agad ang pinto pagkatapos magsalita.

"Did you enjoy that Jared?" he mocked. "I doubt nagawa mo na iyon sa kanya."

"Fuck you!" the former cursed.

He grabbed my phone throwing it to the nearest wall. It broke in pieces.
Iniwan niya ako sa kwarto locking the door. I curled into a ball covering myself with the sheet.

I cried myself out. What he did is unforgivable. Papa never layed his hands on me pero siya nagawa niya.

"Fuck you, you son of a bitch!" I screamed at the door.

Hindi ko inaasahang magagawa niya ito. My feelings are cleared to him. His love became an sickness. An obsession.

Their family will pay for this. Kahit mamatay pa ako gagawin ko iyon.
They will never step on that council ever again. They have already proven that a treacherous blood runs on their veins.
