A jolt of pain ripped through my body as the explosion blasted me to the ground. Dirt rained down like a hurricane. I couldn't see and the noise around me was deafening. The town was in an uproar - everyone running and screaming.
One thing was for sure - these guys weren't subtle. They didn't need to sneak around to get what they wanted. They had the strength to take it.
The world was spinning and my ears were ringing. Everything was moving too fast. I didn't know what I was doing or where I was going. Mom had told me to run, so I did.
Suddenly, I crashed into something. Looking up, I found a giant of a man staring down at me with a sickening grin.
I tried to run, but the brute grabbed me by the collar and jerked me back. He dragged me to their ship and I watched in horror as the door closed on my burning village.
That was the last time I ever saw my home.
