Geonosis

I stood in a circle with Master Kenobi, Master Skywalker and his padawan, and Master Mundi. They were discussing our plan of attack. The planet of Geonosis had rebelled against the Republic... again. This time they wanted to make sure they wouldn't have to retake it again.

I was assigned to Master Kenobi for this mission and, honestly, I was pretty excited to see him in action.

Our team would be going straight for the droid factory while Master Skywalker's team took out a massive fortress to the East of it and Master Mundi approached from the West. We would all meet up directly in front of the factory before attacking it. If we destroyed the factory then it would only be a matter of time before we took the rest of the planet.

Soon, the arid, bug-infested planet came into view.

I met Master Kenobi's gaze. "Let the fun begin."

He raised an eyebrow. "I'd hardly call it fun."

I smirked. "We'll see."

I collided with one of the clones next to me as an explosion jostled the gun ship.

"Still having fun?" Master Kenobi asked, holding the handle above his head.

I clung to a handle too as the Geonosians fired at us. "So much for the element of surprise."

One of the engines got hit, abruptly blowing out. The gun ship went down. We crashed violently into the planet's surface.

I flew into the side of the ship and everything went black.

My eyes fluttered open as the door to the gun ship screeched open.

Three clones stood in the opening, light streaming in around them. They helped Master Kenobi, a surviving clone, and I out of the crippled vessel and hauled us into a circle of massive armored walkers. Each one had a huge cannon on top. The clones sat me and Master Kenobi by a pile of crates.

"Thank you." Master Kenobi shared his gratitude.

"Just doing our duty, sir." The clones departed to help hold the line as the Geonosians attacked.

Forcing myself to stand, I grabbed one of my lightsabers.

Master Kenobi grabbed my free hand. "Rest, Lianna. You're in no shape to fight."

"I can't do nothing." I protested.

"You're too eager to fight." He kept a hold of my arm. "You'll see war enough. You need to let yourself heal."

Reluctantly, I sat down beside him.

A blaster shot arched over the line of tanks, barreling towards us.

Suddenly, a sniper blew it up before it could hit the ground. The clone knelt on top of one of the tanks, still looking through his scope. Moving his gun to aim at Master Kenobi and I he fired again. The bullet went right over our heads and blasted a Geonosian who had broken through the line.

We were running out of time. The Geonosians were gaining ground.

I forced myself to stand. This time Master Kenobi didn't stop me. He joined me on my feet.

A cannon shot hurdled towards the tank that the sniper stood on.

Reaching out, I connected to the blast of energy and slowed it in midair, forcing it back. I dropped to one knee, using the crates to support myself.

Master Kenobi moved in front of me and ignited his lightsaber.

Just as he did, Master Skywalker and his forces joined the fight with Master Mundi.

Master Kenobi lowered his weapon and lowered himself to the ground.
