I jolted awake, the flames from my nightmare burned into my mind. They were getting worse. Ever since Ahsoka had left I hadn't been able to sleep well. I knew it was her choice and that there was nothing I could've done to make her stay, but it felt like everything was falling apart. I was losing everything... again.
I sighed. I missed her. She was a great friend. I didn't want anything to happen to her. Besides, the last time my friend left the Order, they came back as a Sith. I couldn't bear it if that happened again. I couldn't face Ashoka. I wouldn't be able to bring myself to fight her. Facing Alana had been hard enough.
I fingered my lightsabers. The crystals inside had once belonged to my friend, a constant reminder of what had happened. I hadn't been able to save her.
I laid down again. I had to sleep, even if it hurt, even if I relived the pain. My body needed to rest even if my mind didn't.

I stood on the roof of the temple. The moon cast dark shadows across the flat expanse. The night was chill and I knew something was coming, but what? I scanned the area, hoping to spot some sort of clue. My gaze settled on a faint silhouette standing near the central tower. Two red lightsabers ignited in the figures hands.
No, I pleaded. Not again. I can't do this again.
The Sith lunged at me, blades buzzing as they spun through the air. I ignited my own weapon and managed to block the attack before it landed.
Red sparks showered the ground as we pushed against one another, testing each other's strength. Neither one of us could force the other back. The figure wore a loose hood that shrouded her face. Finally, I used the Force to throw my opponent backwards.
She landed in a crouch and slid across the ground. Her hood blew back, revealing her identity.
I gasped, unable to move. My heart skipped a beat and my breath caught in my throat.
It was me. The girl standing before me, red sabers in hand, was me. Her eyes were somehow darker and she wore an arrogant smirk.
Her loose black hair hung around her face. "Is that the best you can do?" My own voice spoke the haunting words.
"What is this?" I couldn't believe my eyes. This couldn't be real.
The other me grinned confidently. "Your doom." She lunged forward, pushing off the ground.
Our sabers collided with a loud zap, crackling as we tried, and failed, to gain the upper hand.
I slid my lightsaber down hers and twirled it to disarm her. She countered with a similar move and soon we were both without weapons. She tackled me to the ground and I tried desperately to force her off.In the end, there was only one option; and I hated it. I saw the opening as soon as it appeared. Squeezing my eyes shut, I kicked her in the stomach and threw her backwards off the edge of the temple roof. I didn't look. I knew what I would see.

I screamed as I shot upright. I was back in my room in the temple, cold sweat running down my back. I breathed heavily, my heartbeat too fast to control. I scanned the room and found Master Yoda and Obi wan beside me.Master Yoda met my gaze. "Passed the Trial of the Spirit, you have."
