Close Call

I ran behind Master Kenobi and Master Piell as we made our way through the maze of corridors towards the landing platform. I ended up next to a clone with yellow stripes down the center of his shoulder plates and helmet. A sniper rifle was slung over his shoulder.

Master Kenobi stopped us at a corner as I realized who it was. "Scope?" I whispered.

He turned to face me. "Hello again, Commander."

We were moving again and I stayed near Scope. Soon, we exited the prison and hid along the side, gazing out at the landing zone.

Master Kenobi stroked his beard. "It's relatively unguarded. It could be a trap."

"In this place," Master Piell replied, "everything is a trap."

Master Kenobi nodded his agreement. "I think I know a better way around."

Master Piell stood. "Lead on, Master Kenobi."

We retraced our steps and started down a new corridor. Commando droids appeared on either side, blocking any chance of escape.

"Surrender now." One of them urged in its deep robotic voice.

I met Master Kenobi's gaze, hoping for a better plan than attack without thinking. Or... he raised his hands above his head. That. I followed suit. There was no way I could take them all on my own.

The droids led us at gunpoint to what looked like a control room, where Osi Sobeck lounged in a big metal chair.

He smirked as he watched the droids escort us in. "I must say, it was a valiant effort, but you failed. And now, I have five Jedi instead of two." He strutted over to Master Kenobi. "Master Kenobi. Your achievements are renown throughout the galaxy. I'm going to enjoy having you as my prisoner." He turned to the droids. "Lock them up."

Once again, we were led down the hall towards what promised to be a very long, very unpleasant stay. Before we reached the cell block, our group was intercepted by a group of battle droids and a very familiar Astromech.

I suppressed a smile as R2 reasoned with the commando droids. After a short unintelligible conversation, we were following R2 and his droids down another corridor.

We reached the platform right as Anakin and his group did. This time there were a lot more droids. We were pinned behind a pile of crates. The ship was surrounded by droids. Some manned large cannons mounted to the top of the walls.

A clone with two blue stripes and a scope on his helmet peeled out from behind the crates. "Now's our chance." He wrestled a shield from a commando droid and made it to the ramp of the ship, but one of the cannons turned on him.

I jumped out from behind the crates and threw out my hands. "No!"

The cannon fired, colliding with the ship. It exploded, blowing me back into Master Kenobi's arms.

"Echo!" An Arc trooper with a blue pointed design on his helmet accented with tiny red diamonds gripped his two pistols tightly as we ran. We couldn't win this fight. We had to regroup.

A/N
So... I finally brought Echo in only to kill him off. Sorry. Hopefully, I'll use Fives more, but we'll see.
