Kai's pov

I'm pacing up and down the hotel room, debating whether I should go and see her or not, they must have told her by now, the 48 hours are almost up. I should call Maya to see if it's done, I pull out my phone from my back pocket and dial her number.

"What?" She barks.

"48 hours are almost up."

"It's done you dickhead." And she hangs up, I'm surprised honestly, I didn't think she would have it in her. But that is great news, I can go see her now, it's only 2 pm though and visiting hours start at 4 pm, but then again, when do I ever stick to visiting hours?

I get my jacket off of the table, grab my keys and drive straight to the hospital. As usual, I have to sneak around to get to her floor, and by sneak around I mean take the stairs and make it to her room without being noticed, which is easy because I made sure her room is nearby the stairwell. I open the door without knocking this time because there is a nurse coming down the hall.

I get inside and close the door, the curtains are closed and the light is off, so the room is dark, all I see is her silhouette lying on the bed. I go around the bed to see her face and she isn't asleep, she is just lying there, staring into blank space. At this moment there is no trace of the witty, smart, funny Avery Shaw that I have come to know. I decide to say something because I think if I stand here staring at her for any longer I might seem like a creep.

"Hey, it's me, Kai," I say gently while walking towards her and crouching down so our faces are on the same level.

"Where have you been?" she asks with no expression in her voice.

"I'll tell you but hear me out before you get mad..." I meant it when I said she's the last person I want to deceive, therefore I will do no such thing. "I came back here the day I stormed out, which I am sorry for...but as I was walking in, Maya was walking out, so I hid. I heard her on the phone with someone, and she was saying how Avery is going to ask questions. She then asked that person if she could meet up at that moment, so instead of coming to you, I followed her to see what she was hiding with my own eyes-"

"Wait so you knew?" she asks while sitting up.

"Let me finish." She nods her head and I go on, "I saw where she went, and I saw her kissing Jason, I took a video for proof slash blackmail, when she left to go to her house for dinner, I decided to crash, and that's where I told her, very nicely, to come clean to you or else I will, I told her she and Jason have 48 hours, and that is why they told you. And I only stayed away from you because I didn't want to have to lie to you, but as soon as I heard they came clean, I came over to see if you're okay... Now you can shout at me." She doesn't say anything for what felt like an hour but was probably only 10 seconds and then she slides off the bed and crouches down with me and gives me a hug.

"Thank you," she whispers.

Avery's pov

"For what," he asks, I pull back, take his face in my hands and say,"For making them tell me the truth." I kiss his forehead."For being honest with me," I kiss his cheek."And for coming to make sure I'm okay." I kiss his other cheek.

He takes my face in his hands, brings it closer to his, and says, "This is because you drive me insane," our lips collide, and suddenly everything else around us disappears, the kiss is gentle at first, then it turns into a deep, wild one. He dissolved every bit of rage I was feeling and replaced it with passion, it's like I didn't know how much I needed him this way, until now.
