Chapter 45

"So wait, you turned his kidney into an inside out kidney but you can't turn his kidney inside out," Palmer asks Kai. 

"I'm a shapeshifter, I change things into other things."

"So you can change me into a cow."

"I can try."

"Are they always like this?" Lorenzo asks me.

"Children bring out the child in Kai," I reply as we just watch him change Palmer into different animals.

"We need to get Emilia back Shaw, for TJ. That is his sister," Lorenzo says to me seriously.

"It's also Palmers sister. Which makes her kinda your sister too," I respond. 

"It doesn't matter whose sister she is, we need to get her back, as in tonight."

"We would if we could, but we have no idea where they are."

"Palmer can find out, all she has to do is catch another goon and look for the location in his head."

"That's smart, why didn't you think of that sooner?"

"I don't know, all I know is that now we can find him."

"You don't have to find him, he's right here," Dane gives us both a fright as he appears right behind us. I scream, and now everyone has their attention focused on Dane. 

"I wouldn't  do that if I were you, I have men following all your parents, one wrong move and they all die," he says smiling looking at Palmer's eyes glowing, 

"It's okay Emmy they won't hurt you," he says looking down as a little girl appears. "I'm not here to fight. I heard about my new fulminares. I came to see what they can do..." no one moves. "Well don't be shy," Dane says. 

"Well don't be shy," Kai shapeshifted into Dane and is now mocking him. 

"A shapeshifter..." Dane says walking to Kai. Palmer nods at me and Dane starts screaming out in pain, I grab Emilia and she lights up into a ball of fire, I don't burn, obviously, so I hold her close to me. 

"I'm not going to hurt you Emmy, I'm going to take you to your mommy."

"Daddy said mommy is gone."

"No hunny, daddy lied, daddy is very bad, he wants to use you, I don't, I just want to help you. Will you let me help you?" she takes a moment but then nods her head. "Okay good, first we have to get away from daddy and find your mommy," I say while rushing out of the gym while Dane is still crying out in pain behind us. 

"Need a ride?" Lorenzo says running behind me.

"Palmer and Kai need-"

"They got this. Let's go," we get into Lorenzo's car and speed to Melanie at the hospital since she isn't picking up the phone, if anyone knows where Julia is it would be her.  We get to the hospital and rush to reception.

"I need to speak to Doctor Melanie Mitchell right away."

"She's busy with a treatment now you'll have to wait," the nurse says. 

"Okay we will," I say with a smile.

"What are you doing? We can't wait," Lorenzo says anxiously.

"We're not waiting, I might know where she is," I say calmly walking towards the stairs, once inside, we rush to the floor where I did my immunotherapy. 

"I'm hungry," Emilia whines.

"Okay sweetie, we'll get you something on the way out okay?" Lorenzo says to her.
