Salient Secret

Chapter 22

"Please oh please can I shower first?" I beg the nurse who walked in with my drip and medicine. Showering with a drip is no fun.

"Okay, I will be back in 15 minutes," she says after looking at me, pitying my desperation for a normal shower.

"Thank you  so much." I get into the shower and let the hot water run down my body and loosen all my muscles, this is easily my favourite part of the day. 

I change into beige pants, a white crop top and I decide to wear sneakers today. I simply tie my hair up into a bun and walk to my bed. The nurse comes back and puts me on the drip and gives me my medication. I'll never get used to the feeling of cold medicine running through my veins. 

I take a deep breath and do what I've been dreading...the rest of the videos. 

Maya and Jason are lucky I did theirs before they told me because God knows I would not do videos for them after everything, I'm still debating  whether I should even let them have the videos or not. But I put a pin in that and start with my dad's videos, doing his actually didn't make me cry, it made me happy, especially the "When you go bald" one, I couldn't help but laugh. 

The nurse brings in lunch and I can't help but to think where Kai is, I'm only realizing now that I can't even message him because we have never exchanged numbers, he also never talks about his life, I don't need him to because Sammy and Maya gave me the just. However, things like him basically being a doctor... I'd like to know more about, you know, like where he studied, why he chose that field, does it affect him positively or negatively mentally etc. But I can't ask him that without him knowing I know, I have to be really low key. Don't get me wrong, our little banters and casual conversations are  nice and all but I'd like to know some of the real things about him, I want to know what makes Kai Grayson, Kai Grayson.

Midday visiting hours are officially over, but I don't let myself be disappointed because when does he ever stick to visiting hours, I don't know how but he always manages to make his way in and out of here without being seen, my very own James Bond.

"Help! Help me!" tied up lady screams.

*door knocks down*

"I'll save you miss," a mysterious guy with a hat on says in a deep voice.

"Who are you?" lady asks.

"The name is Grayson, Kai Grayson."

"Oh my hero!"

I wake up after a very strange dream,  breathing heavily and a bit disturbed if I'm being honest, I don't even remember falling asleep... I get a fright when I see Kai just staring at me, I can't look at him the same right now, that dream keeps replaying through my mind. 

"How long have you been here?" I ask hoping he doesn't say anything longer than 2 minutes. 

"About 30 minutes," he says with a smirk. Great. 

"I didn't want to wake you, you seemed so peaceful." He looks at my drip, I see the curiosity on his face but he doesn't say anything.  "So ummm, what do you want to do today?" he asks like I can say sky diving or go karting. I just look at him with a 'look-around-you' look.

"I know we can't leave this room..." he says in a very seductive manner while walking towards me slowly.  We're face to face now, all I can hear is my heart beating out of my chest, I really hope he can't hear it. 

He then pulls away and continues by saying,"Then again, I knew that, which is why I came prepared." He pulls out this jar with a bunch of folded papers in it, I look at it with an 'explain-please' look on my face.
