"You think Dane was there tonight?" Kai asks after I tell them about the box.

"Maybe."

"That's impossible, we did the security sweeps ourselves," Lorenzo adds.

"Let's be logical, he couldn't have been in there, he is just trying to scare us. He probably had an inside man," Palmer says.

"What like another  invisible goon?" I ask.

"No, we made sure that wasn't possible, it had to have been someone sitting at one of the tables," she continues.

"No ways, that room was filled with people who love me," I defend.

"Avery we have to consider all possibilities, there's a breach, someone had to have seen this person bring in that giant blue box. We can question the guard who acted as an usher by the entrance and there's security cameras outside," how is Palmer always so on top of things?

"Okay but tomorrow, it's 1 am," Lorenzo complains.

"Agreed, Kai and Palmer say in sync.

"Goodnight."

"Goodnight."

Just like that they all hang up the call. I am not tired, how can any of them sleep after hearing about Dane's plans to cut someone up and pack their body parts in a box? I jump out of my window and go for a run to clear my head, I end up at the training gym. Palmer told us to never come here alone because Dane probably has men planted here 24/7. I don't care, I need to hit something.

I walk in, make my way to the radio, put on some music and start boxing. After a few minutes, I feel something hit the back of my head, stupid goons. I get up, close my eyes and pay close attention to the movement of the air, which I can do thanks to Palmer's fighting tips. I feel the air shifting on my right so I drop and sweep my leg across the floor and knock him down. I stand up and kick him until I'm certain he isn't moving anymore. He eventually becomes visible, and the bat he used to hit me rolls out of his hands.

I pick it up and swing it to my left, and hit another one down, I hit him with the bat until he becomes visible.

"Pussy," I say to him, knowing he only had the courage to take me on because I can't see him.

"Impressive," a voice says behind me, I whip around and see Arlo standing there with a long stick in his hands.

"I was hoping you were dead by now," I say with a fake smile.

"It's cute that you think I can be killed," he says in an intoxicating cocky tone.

"Oh I know you can," I say remembering what Palmer said to me the first day we found out about my powers, about the whole 'everyone has their limits' and if you decapitate someone they will probably stay dead.

"You wanna match your words with your actions little girl?"  he says stepping into the ring. I don't say anything, I just take my jacket off and get inside the ring.

"See you on the other side," he says with a cocky smile and runs towards me.

I run towards him and do a flip right over him, he runs into the side of the ring and I use that opportunity to kick his leg, hard. He cries out in pain.

"Oh sorry did I hurt you? Lemme make it better," I say putting my hands on him and healing it knowing I'll absorb his strength. He pushes me away when he is healed but I land perfectly on my feet. He comes at me again and tries to punch me but I dodge it and return the punch right on his jaw. He goes flying backwards and lands on the floor. I don't hesitate, I walk to him, hold my hands in each other and bang on his chest like a gorilla does to it's prey. I can feel his ribs breaking under my hands, there's now blood all over my hands but I keep going because the memory of him knocking my unconscious that day at the hospital keeps playing over and over in my head.
