We have acknowledged in the previous chapters the lowest of lowest, but let's make this one about the highest of highest. About pure joy and laughter. About a birthday that leave our dear Marigold with faith and warmth inside her soul.
Because everyone deserves to feel special on their anniversary. Even if they may not want to accept it in their bones. Even if they tried to have just a normal Saturday morning cooking some pancakes and brewing some tea.
Because there will always be an uncle who tries his best to raise his nice and get her out of the kitchen the moment she stepped into it with a ''Not today kid. And Joseph is still too mature and feels a bit too old but the sight of a complete goofball in his small apartment, talking without pause somehow makes him feel a bit not so grey. His blabbering is, at least, comforting.
''Thank you for having me, sir. It would have been a shame not seeing this hippie today. Ohh!!! Can you...?''
''Oh, boy.'' Marigold sighted understanding Josh idea.
