Unexpected Love (Oikawa tooru x Fem!Reader)

Chapter 9

Kozume Y/N

Next day was really tiring. I really wanted to skip school and sleep but then my heart didn't let me. I have never skipped school in my life time so even thinking about skipping makes me anxious for some reason.

At school Yua was as tired as I was. The classes were running as usual but focusing on them became more and more difficult. 

"Kozume If you want to sleep in my class then don't come to class" Suzuki Sensei yelled at me. "I'm sorry sensei" I bowed but he glared at me and continued teaching.

By the end of school, I was tired as hell. Yua left for club activities while I went back home. I dropped my bag on the floor and went back to bed.

I woke up to ringing of doorbell. I yawned and walked to open my door. Toshi-san was standing there with a bouquet in his hand. That's new! Toshi-san and flowers.

" Oh! Toshi-san what are you doing here?" I asked him as I rubbed my eyes.
" I don't why but I had a feeling you were mad at me so I came to check on you" He said and handed me the bouquet. A small smile crept at my lips.

"Come inside" I said and led him to living room. 

"Do you want something to drink?" I asked him as he sat on the couch. He shook his head and motioned me to sit beside him.

I sat beside him and he took his hand in mine. "Y/N are you still mad at me?" He asked and I shook my head. "I was mad at you but not anymore" I said and smiled at him.

We were talking about the things when the doorbell rang. I excused myself and opened the door to see Mrs. Oikawa standing there with a huge smile at her face.

"Ano? Weren't you in the states?" I asked her.

"Yes I was but my grandson's vacation started so we came back with him" She said and I nodded.

"I came here to invite you for dinner? You're free right?"She asked me.

"Ah! My boyfriend's here." I said and her expression changed for a bit.

"Really? He can join us too. I wouldn't mind" She said sounding cheerful.

"Who is it Y/N?" Toshi-san came to the door.

"My neighbor" I said and he bowed at her and she smiled at her.

"Would you like to Join us for dinner Y/N-chan's  boyfriend-kun?" Mrs. Oikawa asked Toshi-san.

"My name is Ushijima Wakatoshi and I am sorry but I'll have to decline. My mother wants me home for dinner" He said politely declining her offer.

"Okay then. Y/N-chan I'll see you in 30 minutes" She said and walked inside next door without hearing me out. This lady is really weird!!

"I thought we were going to have dinner together" I pouted at him.

"I'm sorry. I already promised my mom." He reasoned. I didn't say anything and walk back to living room.  I mean I understand but I can't help but be upset about it. I mean It's been so long since we met and he is already leaving.

"I Don't have practice on Friday so we can have dinner together. If you want I can even cook for you" He said as he sat next me and wrapped his arms around me. I was still upset but let it pass.

"You promise?" I stick out my pinky; pouting at him

"I promise" He intertwined his pinky with mine and gave me a short kiss. 

After cuddling for next 20 minutes, my boyfriend left while I lazily walked to Oikawa household. I rang the bell and a kid  opened the door. 

"Are you the neighbor next door?"He asked and I nodded.

"Who is it Takeru-chan?" Mrs. Oikawa yelled.

"It's the neighbor grandma" He yelled back and walked inside. I followed him to the dining room. 

"Y/N-chan take a seat while I bring the food" Mrs. Oikawa said.

"Let me help you" I said and she smiled.

"Takeru go get your uncle and grandpa" She told the kid as we put the dishes on the table.  

After a minute Mr. Oikawa  and Oikawa Senpai came with the kid. "Good evening" I greeted Mr. Oikawa and he smiled at me. I smiled at Senpai and he returned the smile before settling down.

We ate the delicious food made by Mrs. Oikawa as she and Mr. Oikawa tried engaging us in the conversation. They were asking me random stuffs like how school was treating me, did I join any clubs and stuff.

"It's really a pity that Y/N-chan has a boyfriend honey. I was really hoping her and Tooru to be a couple and date in the future" She told Mr. Oikawa  making  both I and Oikawa Senpai choked on our food.

"Eat slowly Tooru, Y/N-chan" Senpai's mom said and handed us water.

"Mom stop talking nonsense. I would never date her. She is not my type" Senpai scolded his mom and drank water. I don't know why but I felt offended.

"What are you saying Tooru? Y/N chan is both beautiful and smart. What else you need?"Mrs. Oikawa (kinda) defended me??

"Grandma She already has a boyfriend and uncle recently got dumped. Stop making both of them awkward and uncomfortable." Takeru-kun talked like a matured person.

"Right! I am sorry for making you uncomfortable Y/N-chan" Mrs. Oikawa apologized.

"It's okay. " I smiled and continued eating my food.

"What about you Takeru-kun did you make any girlfriend??" Mr. Oikawa asked the kid and he blushed. I wanted to squeal but I refrained myself.

"Really? What's her name??" I ended up asking him.

"Sophie" He said quietly making me smile.

After dinner, Mrs. Oikawa made me taste the carrot cake she baked and I ended up overeating. Like last time she made Oikawa Senpai drop me next door. 

"Senpai" I called him as he was about to get inside his apartment.

"Huh? What is it?" He looked at me curiously.

"You're not my type either" I said and the color of his face drained as a scowl appeared at his face.

"Yeah whatever" He said and walked inside after glaring at me.
