Baby Severide

The fire Part 6

Stella and Kelly have been dating for a while and Stella lives with Addison and Kelly.

Stella walked out, holding hands with Addy, "Ok, we are ready then," she told Kelly. They loaded everything into the car and drove to Addy's sitter's apartment. Kelly put the radio on and they were silent for a while until Addy spoke up, "Stella are you gonna be my new mommy?" she asked. Stella looked at Kelly and he looked back. "Ummm, I don't know babygirl, do you want Stella to be your mom?" He asked his daughter, she nodded back eagerly and Kelly looked at Stella who was shocked, "Why don't you ask Stella then?" he told her, happy the two got on so well together. "Stella will you be my mommy?" Addy asked, "Sure sweetheart", she answered and Addy began to sing along to the radio, they dropped her off at her sitter's before going to work.

Kelly was changing in the locker room and Stella walked in, "Hey babe, do you mind Addy wanting me to be her mom?" she asked nervously. "Stells, Addy and I both love you very much and her mom left years ago, as long as you are ok with it I'm happy," Stella kissed him and walked away very happy.

'Squad 3, Truck 81, Engine 51, Battalion 25, Ambulance 61, apartment fire 81 south street'. Everyone began to run and get ready but Kelly froze. Stella looked at him knowing what happened. "Guys Addy is in that building." she shouted while she put her boots on, Kelly did the same. The whole of 51 rushed to the fire and got ready to go in. Chief Boden started to order all the units that had been sent 'Ok Squad 3 levels 1-2, Truck 66 levels 3 and 4, Truck 81 5 and 6, everybody else split up and spread yourselves out, engines I want to water ready to go, Ambulance 61 set up triage over there, this is going to be a long day," Everyone began to put their masks on and Kelly walked up to Boden, "Chief, Addison's on the 6th floor, can't I take squad up there?" "Severide Truck will get her, you stay with your unit, that's an order." Kelly was about to protest but Stella grabbed his arm, "Kelly I'll get her." she told him and he nodded worriedly.

Everyone was out and the paramedics were treating the victims, "Chief let me go back in and help, I need 1 minute," Kelly begged as a puff of black smoke rose from the roof. "Casey, Kidd report, report do you have Addison?" he shouted down the radio. After no answer Kelly started to put on his mask, "Severide, I said NO," Chief told his squad lieutenant in a warning voice," "Chief I can't lose my kid, she's my world, I've already lost Shay," tears fell down his cheeks and suddenly Casey and Stella came running out of the building, a child was hidden in Casey's grasp. 

Kelly dropped his air tank and ran over to the gurney where Addy lay, "Baby, daddy's here, talk to me Addy," he said and his heart sunk as the child lay lifelessly still. Stella put her hand over her mouth and Silvie started to hook her up to some machines, Addy began to move and Kelly grabbed her hand, the child gasped for breath and Gabby got the intubation kit out. She began to push the tube down her throat to help her breathe but Addy started to wiggle and get away, "Kelly, I know this is a lot but you have to hold her still." Brett said. Addy gagged as the tube was pushed down her throat and Kelly looked away, unable to see his daughter in so much pain. "I know, I know baby" Gabby said trying to comfort the kid as she finished intubating.
