Chapter 40

AQUA

Karitha Hotel

Tinignan ko ulit ang pangalan ng hotel na nakalagay sa card. It's my first time hearing this hotel, medyo malayo din naman ito. Almost 20 minutes na akong nagdadrive, madilim ang paligid dahil puno lang ang mga nadadaanan ko, seriously? tama ba tong daan?

Naramdaman ko rin ang pag slow down ng kotse ko, fuck! Out of gas! Lumabas ako ng kotse ng tuluyan nang nagstop ang kotse ko and I don't see any house in here!

Thank God at mayroong signal dito at sinubukan ko nang tawagan ang aking secretary, sumagot naman ito at sinabi kong magpadala ng sasakyan at ng kukuha ng kotse ko as soon as possible. I'm running late!

Tinignan ko ang relo ko, 8 minutes nalang magsisimula na ang kasal and I'm here out of nowhere. Tinignan ko ang pararating na puting sasakyan at nagdadalawang isip ako kung paparahin ko ito pero bago ko pa man magawa yon ay tumigil na ito sa harapan ko. Ibinaba nito ang bintana ng kanyang sasakyan, and I saw a man just like my age, wearing a formal suit

"Going in a wedding?" sabi nito tsaka ako nginitian. I cleared my throat before answering, "Yes" I smiled a little, it's a bit rude if I'm not going to show some emotions "Anong nangyari sa kotse mo?"

"Out of gas" sabi ko nalang and I don't know why am I talking to this stranger "Hop in. I'll take you to the wedding, same lang tayo ng pupuntahan" hindi ko alam ang isasagot sa lalaking to pero nagsalita muli ito, "Don't worry. Mabait akong tao. I can show you my I.D, passport or birth certificate if you want" he chuckled

I just rolled my eyes, well I guess I don't have a choice. Bumalik ako ng kotse ko at kinuha ang purse ko and the invitation card. Pumasok na din ako sa front seet ng kotse ng lalaking to, and texted my secretary na kukunin nalang nila ang kotseng naiwan

The guy already started driving as I hop in, "We're almost there, maabutan pa natin ang kasal. By the way, what's your name? I'm Seve" sabi nito at nakita kong sumulyap siya sakin. I don't feel nervous about this situation, I can stab this guy easily, "Aqua" I answered

"Aqua Kastell?" he asked but I just looked at him, confused. Ngumiti naman siya bago magsalita, "The first child and the Vice President of the Kastell's" sabi niya. Well I'm not shocked

Inihinto niya ang sasakyan sa harap ng isang malaking hotel, "Thank you for the ride" sabi ko sakanya, ngumiti lang ito tsaka tumango. Lumabas na ako ng sasakyan, at narinig ko ang bulong nito, "It's a pleasure to meet you, Ms. Reene"
and before I realized, there is something off about that guy.

3RD PERSON

Sa pagsimula ng kanta ay ang pagbukas din ng malaking pintuan na pinakahihintay ng lahat, there is Lami wearing a white, long wedding gown walking towards the aisle. She's smiling widely, that makes her even more beautiful

As the songs continues, sabay sabay din palakpal ng mga tao sa paligid. There are almost 400 guest in the wedding hall. Sa iisang table ay naroon sila Min, Kris, Annika, Maxine at Dylan. Christopher her twin was the best man. While Aqua is in a random table with some random guests.

They are all smiling at the bride, at sa gitna ng aisle ay naroon naghihintay ang kanyang mga magulang.

Nakarating na sila sa dulo kung saan mas lalong naging emosyonal si Lami at doon hindi na napigilan ni Zed na mapaluha. Lami hugged her parents at ganon din si Zed, Christopher tapped Zed's shoulders and gave him  a hug, ganon din ay napaiyak si Christopher nang yakapin niya ang kanyang kambal.

Natapos ito, at doon hinawakan ni Zed ang kamay ni Lami upang alalayan siya at doon sila naglakad at humarap sa pastor.

"I pronounce you husband and wife, you may now kiss the bride" the pastor announced at doon itinaas ni Zed ang veil na suot ni Lami at hinalikan ito. Nagkaroon ng sunod sunod na palakpakan at hiyawan sa paligid

Nagkaroon din ng picture taking pagkatapos. Aqua didn't bother to go as well as Dylan whose watching the group had their picture. Dylan also knew where Aqua is andAqua doesn't have any idea, nakafocus lang ito sa panonood sa mga dati niyang kagrupo

Aqua bitterly smiled at them. She is very happy to see them, and most importantly she is proud how Lami grew up as a lady and now that she is getting married with the love of her life. Aqua didn't deny to herself that she miss her group very much.

Natapos ang picture taking and the MC announced that they need to settle down, sa kadahilanang kakain na sila. It's already 5:30 at papadilim na sa labas. Natandaan din ni Aqua na wala siyang dalang kotse kaya naman naisipan niya nalang na tumawag ng taxi maya maya

Natapos ang kanilang dinner at naghahanap ng magandang tiyempo si Aqua upang lumapit sa bagong kasal at batiin ito. Marami rami pa ang tao sa harap kaya naman ay napagpasyahan niyang pumunta sa veranda kung saan kakaunti lang ang taong naroon

She hugged herself the time she went to the veranda because of the cold weather. Aqua looked at the sky, It's already 7 in the evening and stars are already coming out of the sky

She was shocked when a clothing covered her back to her shoulders. She looked at her side, it was Dyla, and he's looking at her

Nagtagal ang tinginan nila sa isa't isa at si Aqua na rin ang unang bumitaw at nagpatuloy nalang sa pagtingin sa langit, avoiding Dylan

"How are you?" a deep voice coming from Dylan broke the silence between them, while Aqua was still shocked and she doesn't know what to do "I-im fine" she stuttered

Dylan just nodded, he was also nervous talking to Aqua for the very first time after 5 years. Kahit na lagi itong updated sa buhay ni Aqua ay iba parin ang pakiramdam na makausap niya ito ng harapan

"Why are you wearing  such a daring dress that almost all of the men here look and drool at you.." Dylan stated that made Aqua shocked for the second time. "It makes me wanna kill them." Pagpapatuloy ni Dylan. She didn't answered. For goddamns sake, for the first time in five years, she felt butterflies in her stomach and her heart is beating so fast

Aqua remained calm even if it was hard for her and faced Dylan, she removed the coat in her shoulders and gave it to him, "I-i need to g-go" she stuttered again. Hindi na niya inantay ang sagot ni Dylan at dire diretso ang paglakad niya papasok sa hall, at sa saktong pagpasok niya sa hall ay ang biglaang pagdilim ng paligid

"Omyghad!"
"What happened?"
"Babe where are you?"

Sunod sunod ang bulungan ng mga taong nakapaligid sa hall, while Aqua immediately got her phone and opened the flashlight when they heard a shout from nowhere

"AAAAHH!!"

Isang malakas na sigaw ng isang babae, kasunod ng isang malakas na putok ng baril ang narinig sa loob ng hall. Nagsimula nang magkagulo kahit na madilim ang paligid

Aqua was about to get the pocket knife in her pouch when a wet cloth suddenly covered her nose and in a second, she lost her conciousness.
