Rico's P.O.V
The kids was playing in the kiddy pool and me and Reiss are talking about investing in this hair salon.
"Man who is the owner of this shit?" Reiss said throwing the documents on the table.
In came me and his wife. Samira sat on Reiss' lap and rubbed his back.
"What's with all the shouting?" Reiss just pointed at the documents on the table and mira looked.
Then started laughing her head off.
"How could you not realize? This is my hair salon. 'Mira's World' is my salon"
"You gotta be kidding me, that shit ain't funny mira had me stressing"
I looked towards the kids and saw maria. She was siting on the other side of the garden on the swing looking out at the man made lake Reiss has. See what I mean. She's been distant for about 3 weeks and I know it's not because she missed mira because Mira is back. I gotta find out man I'm tired of this shit.
I got up and walked towards the swings and sat next to her. She didn't even acknowledge my presence.
"Hey" she said looking at the water
"Wassup ma, why you acting all miserable and distant recently?" I said playing with her hair as it blew in the wind.
"I've been thinking..." She sighed deeply and layed her head into my chest.
"About what?"
"Us, the kids, my life, our marriage. My parents everything. I've just been stuck"
"Tell me how you feel then ma, you've always been like this since the day me and you became a thing. You never tell me what's wrong and that shit hurts. I'm your husband. You should trust me enough to tell me. Just tell me what's going on"
I felt her tears on my shirt
"I'm scared of losing her"
"Who Mira?"
"No, the baby"
Now I'm confused. What baby she talking about
"What?"
"I'm 2 weeks pregnant rico" I instantly smiled. Damn I'm having another kid.
"I'm scared. What if I have another miscarriage. You saw how miserable I was rico you saw how much times I tried killing myself. All the cuts and bruises from me self harming. I can't do that again I can't" she was crying into my chest which is now soaked.
"Maria, you had a miscarriage cah that nigga put his hands on you. That will never happen ma, you know I will never do that shit. We finna have another healthy child. Just like Rico Jr and Malcolm. Okay?"
She nodded.
"Okay now wipe them tears. You soaked up my damn shirt and it took me 20 minutes to iron this shit"
She laughed and got up. She wiped her face and smiled.
"So how you know we having a girl?"
"Nigga don't ask no questions. I just know" she got up and walked to the kids in the pool.
I looked at them all. Samira and Jasmine was holding each other. RJ and Malcolm where splashing they momma and Reiss Jr was laughing with his daddy. My lil famo. I gotta organise a family reunion. My family, Reiss' family, Samira's family and Maria's family. Hmm sounds like a plan.
