"Hey, Daichi." You call the captain away from his things and he motions for you to continue before zipping up his bag.

"Well, i was wondering if i could go ahead, there's some things i want to look at while you guys are warming up."

"Oh," Daichi throws his messenger bag over his shoulder "Do you think you can at least walk in with us? You know, to show we're at least a united front? Then you can go do whatever you needed."

"Yeah, i can do that." You give Daichi a smile as you grab your bag and head off the bus to gather around with the rest of the team.

You walk with Kiyoko and Takeda as the volleyball players cross the threshold into the gym, the three of you walk into the building a little after the team.

"I guess the banner did it's job!" Takeda remarks seeing how high spirited the team is.

"Yup, and it's all thanks to Kiyoko! You did a really good job senpai."

She gives the both of you a small smile "Do you really think so?"

"It was far more effective than my silly poem."

"Don't beat yourself up sensei, i think your poem was beautifully said." You give the older male a small and he grins back at you in thanks. The three of you continue on and act as if you can't hear the comments aimed at you and Kiyoko. Well, at least until Tanaka and Nishinoya go feral and circle around the two of you so no one gets too close.

You and Kiyoko share a look before grabbing your notebooks, seemingly out of no where, and smacking the two on the head with it. "Knock that off."

"Kiyoko's right the both of you are embarrassing." You add before you leave the two idiotic second years and continue on your way.

After Hinata get's a short scolding from Sugawara all of you arrive at the entrance to the courts.

"This gymnasium is huge!" Hinata sniffs the air "I can smell the air salonpas!"

The team just stares at Hinata until Kageyama questions him "What are you talking about?"

"This smell makes the tournament feel real."

Nishinoya jumps out from behind Asahi and agrees with Hinata "I know right!"

Unfortunately for them, a rival school and a few people commenting about them interrupted the two small athletes.

You turn to see one of the two teams you were worried about: Date Tech.

And unfortunately for you, you weren't near Asahi so you could hold his hand due to Kinoshita and Narita being next to Asahi and you along with Ennoshita behind you.

They stood in silence for a few seconds until one of them, Aone, rose his hand and pointed it at Asahi. Nishinoya tried to step forward but Asahi, not backing down from Aone stuck a hand out to stop him. You glance at Asahi who's keeping a straight face. So badass. I didn't even know Asahi was capable of this...

The two of them continue with their stare down until some one, from Date Tech based upon his jumpsuit, runs up to Aone "Hold it, Hold it! Stop that!" He grabs Aone's arm, which is still pointing to Asahi, and tries to shove it down while apologizing to you all "I'm sorry! I'm so sorry!"

Daichi, still surprised manages a "It's okay." Probably because Tanaka's done worse.

The one still struggling to pull down Aone's arm turns towards a brunette next to him "Hey, Futakuchi, give me a hand."

"Coming!" He walks over to Aone with a smile on his face and you immediately know it's not genuine. Tooru is the king of fake smiles so its not hard for you to spot one. "I'm so sorry." His hand raises as he attempts to lower Aones arm as well. "This dude has a habit of singling out a team's ace." There it is. Futakuchi lowers Aones hand and they begin to leave although he turns to look back at you all, a smirk now on his face "So, i'd like you to get good and ready to lose again."
