Chapter 11

Simon had recruited JJ and Josh to help take my bags into the house. Vik, bless him, was still fast asleep and I had told Simon he was not allowed to wake him up. He needed his sleep.

I did also tell Simon that I would be fine taking my bags to my room by myself, but he had completely ignored me. I was sort of glad, now, though, because my room was on the top floor. Two whole sets of stairs carrying all my own bags would've taken me hours. At least with three people helping, we got it done in just over an hour.

My new room was now littered with my bags. I couldn't wait to start decorating. Simon had bought me this amazing piece of material that I was going to hang from my ceiling when filming or streaming.

Simon was currently setting up my computers and monitors on the fixated desk in the corner, and I was just about finished making my bed.

The next box to unpack had a wrapped present on top, and I knew exactly what it was.

"Simon?" I threw the question out there, catching his attention. He mumbled a response back, his head currently underneath my desk, fixing some wires.

"When you're finished doing whatever you're doing I've got something for you," I said excitedly, gripping the package in my hands.

"I'm supposed to be the one getting you the housewarming presents, not the other way round!" He spoke, carefully sliding out from under the desk and looking at the package in my hands.

I handed it out to him, my hands clapping together as I waited to see his reaction. It was a picture of us both in a black frame, one I knew would fit into the aesthetic of his room.

"I love it," he whispered, tracing his finger along the edge of the frame.

"You do?" I asked hopefully, my heart melting at the expression on his face as our eyes came into contact.

"I do." He spoke, gently placing it to the side and crawling over to sit next to me, pulling me into him, so my head was resting on his chest. "I wish I would've thought to get you something heartfelt...I feel bad now," he apologised.

"Don't be stupid, I found the picture on my phone and I bought the frame whilst shopping a couple of days ago, it was too perfect," I laughed heartily, pouting my lips to be met by his.

"I should probably get back to fixing up these wires, it won't take me much longer," he said reluctantly after a couple of minutes in silence.

I stood up too, going back over to the boxes in the corner. The sooner I was unpacked, the sooner I could lie down. Or stream. Or film maybe.

Shit - that reminded me, I never ended up posting the picture on Instagram. I'd been a little inactive on there, and although I didn't have a massive following, it was nice checking in with my followers from time to time.

"Nice picture, I wonder who took it?" I heard Simon say, and I whipped my head around in surprise. I had only just posted that, how the hell had he seen it that quickly?
