Thank you so so so much for 5k! You guys are the best, and I hope you're enjoying the story!
In the two days that had passed since Sophie had disappeared from London, I had learnt two more things.
One, she was safe and sound back up in Manchester. She had decided to take another contract with her record label that needed her full time up there. She said she was doing the best she could right now.
Two, Simon was so much more stubborn that I had realised. Everyone in the house - except JJ, because he was still in America, and also because he was too involved, had talked to him, trying to get him to apologise and talk to Sophie. But he still wouldn't budge.
At this point, I didn't even know why he resisting. Pride, perhaps. Maybe he was embarrassed about what he did.
I was still staying clear of him, still hurt by his words. However, I wanted, more than anything, just to be able to go into his room, and lie on his bed whilst he played games. I missed the company. I missed him.
I had no clue if he missed me too. I hoped he did, but I also hoped he realised how selfish he had been acting.
I had promised Freya a day with her today. We were going into the movie room just hanging out with each other. I had also invited Eloise and Emily, but both of them had declined. Emily was down South with some family, and Eloise was already going out with Vik today, which was slightly odd because Emily had never mentioned family down South, and Eloise was still in her room this morning. I brushed the thought away, however. My mind was all over the place recently.
"So," I spoke, walking into the movie room, my hands full of food, "What's the plan?" I asked Freya, who had been hauling blankets and cushions up the stairs for the last ten minutes.
"Get yourself comfortable on the blankets, I just need to get some more and then we're set." She said, nudging me towards the front of the room, waiting there until I sat down on the blankets. She looked slightly suspicious, but before I could get another good look at her, she was out of the door. Well, this felt a little weird.
The door opened again - that was very quick - but it wasn't Freya.
It was Simon.
It looked like he had been pushed into the room by someone, who had then proceeded to shut the door hard. Did this door have a lock?
"Uh - I'm waiting for Freya," I said awkwardly, still sat on top of several blankets.
"Freya? She was waiting for Josh at the top of the stairs. He told me I needed to go in- Oh."
Yeah, oh. I had been set up! I knew I shouldn't have told Freya about mine and Simon's argument.
"Can I come and sit down there with you?" He asked. I shrugged my shoulders.
"If you want to. I might not be famous enough for you to be around," I said sarcastically. Maybe that was a bit too far. I already wanted to take it back. "Sorry, that was mean of me to say."
"It's alright, I deserve it," he spoke quietly, lowering himself down and sitting across from me. "I really am sorry that I said it. It was mean, and horrible, and not-"
"You don't have to lie to make me feel better. I know it's true, just hurt was all."
"Alright. I just want you know I didn't say it to hurt you, I would never say anything to hurt you. I hope you know that." He said sincerely, and by looking at his face I could tell that he meant it.
I didn't have it in me to be angry anymore, all I wanted was to just curl up in his arms, and for him to hold me. There was no fight left in me to be annoyed at him.
