Chapter 12

"Fucking hell," I exclaimed, not quite believing what I had just read on my phone. I reread it once more, just to check it was real before turning to Simon. "Did you know?" I asked pointedly, impressed if he had known, and managed to keep it a secret.

"Know what? What's going on?" he asked groggily, rubbing his eyes. It hadn't reached noon yet, and he had been up late last night streaming. We didn't usually stay in together, but I had fallen asleep on him last night, so I had stayed.

"Sophie releasing an EP! She posted about it just now, look!" I spoke excitedly, handing him over my phone so he could have a read through. By the look on his face, I was guessing he didn't know about it.

"She kept that a secret," He agreed, getting out his own phone to congratulate her. It also gave me time to text her a quick message myself. Music was always something I was interested in too, along with makeup. I had actually recorded songs in the past, I was waiting for the right time to release them, though. They were very personal to me.

"We should invite her round soon, maybe?" I suggested. Simon hadn't seen Sophie in person since the dinner party, and although he didn't really talk about it, I knew he was missing her like crazy.

"We should! Maybe we could go out with her and Harry - bowling maybe?" he replied, and my face lit up. I loved bowling.

"Yes! A million times yes, I love that idea, can we please do that?!" I asked, getting way too excited, considering it was still only eleven in the morning.

"Of course - I actually have a friend who owns a bowling alley, so it'll be private. We could go sometime this week? I'll phone Sophie later."

"You are the absolute best, Simon Minter. Thank you," I smiled, and I felt so full of love-

Love.

Was I in love with him? I wouldn't say that. At least not yet, anyway.

But could I tell that I was starting to fall in love with him? Definitely.

"You alright? You look lost in thought," He pulled me out of my trance by squeezing my hand that was resting on his lap.

"No - yeah, I'm alright! Just thinking is all," I replied back, a harmless little lie. It wouldn't hurt to just omit the truth this once.

"Alright, well what I was saying was I'm going to go back to sleep for a bit, I've only had five hours sleep," he yawned, causing me to do the same.

"You really need to start going to bed earlier than six in the morning," I grinned, kissing him softly on his cheek before climbing out of the bed. I was still in yesterdays clothes, and my makeup was half on, half rubbed all over my face. I needed a shower, and I needed it fast.

Everything felt like it was falling into place, now. I was in a house, surrounded by the people I cared about the most, one of my best friends was releasing an EP, I was slowly starting to fall in love with my boyfriend...it was perfect. I could hardly stop myself from grinning as I climbed into the shower.

"She said they'd love to come bowling with us!" Simon told me over a takeaway in his bedroom later on that night. He had slept for the majority of the day, and I had just been chilling out in my room, watching various YouTube videos.

"Did they say when they're free?" I replied, covering my mouth as I ate.

"They're free tomorrow...you want to do it then?"
