You can tell your soulmate's thoughts and emotions when you look into their eyes.
Scenarios I've thought of for this AU:
- You or your soulmate is blind
- Someone got married to their soulmate, but lost them.
(Sudden death, divorce, etc.) Their best friend comes to comfort them due to the loss. And they realize that whenever they look into each other's eyes they can tell their thoughts.
- A criminal investigator in charge of talking to the criminals/in charge of interrogation, realizes that he/she can tell the thoughts of a certain criminal that has just been arrested today just by looking into their eyes. But they are afraid to admit it.
- You can read your soulmates emotions/thoughts, but they can't read yours. Or vise versa. (Bonus: your soulmate on the other hand, can read someone else's emotions and thoughts through their eyes)
