Eye Colors #2

My Own Idea:

A world where the deeper you fall in love with someone, the more your eyes will change into their eye color.
(But only if it's romantic love)

Bonus: in this world, 'unnatural' eye colors are very common. So is heterechromia/segmental heterochromia, etc. In addition, everyone is born with unique shades. These color shades don't have anything to do with your parent's eye color however. The color you are born with is at random.

Bonus #2: In some cases, there are abnormalities that can happen. One of them is that some people can be born with permanent white/silver eyes. When other people fall in love with these white-eyed fellows, their eyes can't turn white. Meaning, white eyes are rare, and it's almost as if these white-eyed people don't ever feel loved by others, because they lack the visual confirmation of having someone love them for sure. It's only when they stare into the eyes of another white-eyed person, that they almost feel loved, in a way.

Bonus #3: When falling out of love, your eyes slowly start to revert back into your own color after.

Scenarios:

- People being afraid to fall in love with others born with pitch black, grey, or dark brown eyes, because 'it's not colorful.' In this society, these types are viewed of as outcasts.

- A white-eyed person's eyes, changing into pure black after falling in love.

- Someone with commitment issues or someone who loves really easily having rainbow colored eyes

- Each time you video chat with your long-distance lover, it hurts to see that their eyes are slowly starting to revert into it's original color. While yours, is still as bright & colorful as ever.

- Some people forever having the same eye color as their last lover. Never being able to let go of the past.

- Your parents announced that you were moving to a different country. You and your childhood best friend spend the remaining days spending time together and having as much fun as possible before you moved. On the last day however, as you hop inside the car and wave goodbye at everyone, you catch a glimpse of your best friend's eyes. Fully shifting into your color like an eclipse as they tear up for the first time.
(Side story: fast forward a couple years later you move back to your old hometown/city in hopes of finding a job. Luckily, you found a place where they would hire you. As you walk in to interview with the boss, you stand there, shocked, as you recognize those same eyes. It was your childhood best friend. Still having your eye color after all these years.)
