Soulmate AU in which you are able to talk to your soulmate through mirrors.
Bonus: Depending on your story, people could either see their soulmate through the mirror or only hear them talking through it. Depends on which one you want to do.
Scenarios:
- Some people believing that they don't have a soulmate because they've never been able to talk to them through a mirror. Little do they know that their soulmate doesn't even have a mirror. (Could be that they live at a different place with no available mirrors)
- Two people never being able to talk because the soulmate's parents are super strict and want their child to be married to a rich family instead. So, they take away all the mirrors to prevent their child from falling in love. But one day, the soulmate ends up getting ahold of a small pocket watch with a mirror inside.
- Yet another person thinking that they are born without a soulmate. But it's just that their soulmate is deaf/mute.
- Back in the olden times before the invention of mirrors, soulmates could talk to each other through water reflections instead.
