The next morning, Sierra didn't say much and was very short with him.

He still tried to get her to listen to him but in a big way, she was right about what she said the night before.

She packed all her stuff and set her bag by the door.

"Can we go?" She asked him once he entered the foyer.

He looked around, "Yeah sure, let me just lock up everything. Here are the keys." He handed her the keys, certain that she wasn't going to wait inside for him. So she took the keys and warmed the car and waited impatiently for him.

She didn't care if she was acting like a selfish bitch, all she wanted him to do was to apologize or say that he'll arrange a meeting. They have gotten to the point in their relationship that they weren't just in a budding romance, it was so much deeper than that. So why couldn't he just do this one thing. Sooner or later they'll have to deal with people who didn't accept their interracial relationship, so shouldn't it be simpler with your own mother?

Kenneth finally came and drove off, with a look of bleakness. He wanted to say something but he knew not to piss her off more. He needed her in his life more than anything, even more than his mother's acceptance, he couldn't watch her be mad at him over this. He hated seeing her mad or especially sad. Plus, this probably was bothering him so much because it was their first argument or of her arguing with him.

He stopped in front of her condominium and looked at her grim form.

"Will I talk to you later?" He asked as she got out the car.

"I don't know." She answered with no emotion. It wasn't the first time, parents didn't want to meet her. Her ex-boyfriend, Kilan's mom didn't want to meet her either simply because she said she already picked a woman for him. So by the time they actually met, they didn't get along. Sierra hated the feeling of not being wanted and always thought that a parents blessing should be appropriated. Well, as of now, Adelina and Steven would be a whole other story.

However, she remembered how defensive and angry Kilan got with his mom that day they met.

It wasn't like she was a bad person because she wasn't at all...

Kenneth nodded his head barely noticeably, looked away and drove off.

As soon as he got home, he soaked himself in his bathtub and took the time to relax his muscles. He didn't remember why it was hurting so much. They didn't even get to have sex last night, plus he needed to get his mind ready for work on Monday.

He closed his eyes took a deep breath.

"Two women I need to deal with. One I need to get rid of and one I desperately need to talk to me again." He said out loud to himself.

Fuck My Life.

Once he got out the tub he called his mom. He needed to tell her the truth about Sierra. Before it was very brief but he didn't mentioned that she was black.

"So now you want to be like your dad? Messing with black women?" Was her response.

"Mom, please calm down. And I don't understand what's the big deal, you had a lot of black friends your whole life, why now do you want to categorize them in one section."

"I'm not categorizing them all in the same section, I know that there are a lot of amazing black women out there but since when did you like black women?"

He sighed smiling to himself, "Uhh... Since Mrs. Williams." He chuckled.

"One of my best friends? Haha wow son."

"You see mom, even your best friend was black."

She paused for a few seconds and sighed deeply, "Okay, I'm so sorry baby. For misjudging her and even you, It's just your father-" She started. He could sense her emotions through the phone already.

"I know mom."

"Yeah, so sweetie, You can date whoever you want as long as she's good to you. Then it's fine with me, I just need to learn to get over myself and move on."

He smiled to himself understanding his mother's dilemma and despite Sierra being angry with him.

"She is good to me mom. Too bad she's mad at me for not telling you."

"Well if you love her go get her, before you she thinks you just give up that easily. You have to learn how to understand women."

He laughed, knowing that notion was impossible. "Thanks mom. I love you."

"I love you too, my grown baby boy. Talk to you later."

After hanging up the phone with his mom, he had to come up to with a plan to woo her into talking to him again. Christmas was only a couple weeks away, he needed to give her present she'd only been wanting for months, even before they got together.

"Hey Marco... I need your help."
