Chapter 23

When I woke up the next morning, Marisol wasn't there anymore, but my pillow still smelled like her baby soap. It was strangely adorable.

Nicole was still laying in the bed, her attention on her phone, while Grace was already awake, sitting on the couch with a book on her lap.

"What time is it?" I asked.

"9:30." Grace replied, not looking up from her book. "Jane came in to get Marisol about 15 minutes ago. The little girl was just laying there, staring at you." She added with a laugh.

I shook my head, getting up from the bed. "I don't get why kids like me when I dislike them so much." I laughed, standing up.

"Maybe it's like the whole hard to get thing with guys? They want what they can't have?"

I showered, just putting my hair up into the best ponytail I could master with the unruly wet nest. There was no use looking good today...

Tomorrow was what I was really concerned about. It was Logan's and my three month anniversary and despite the fact that we were stuck on an island with my entire family, I hoped we'd be able to do something.

I walked out of the bathroom with a towel wrapped around myself. The sight of Logan walking out of the room startled me.

"Logan?" I laughed. He froze in his tracks, slowly turning around as if he was caught doing something.

"I came in here to see if you were here but I thought it was Nicole or something in the shower." Logan said, sliding his hands into the pockets of his jeans.

A grin crossed my face.

"The girls aren't in here." I said, slowly pulling the front of the towel open.

Logan let out a groan, glancing behind him quickly before leaning against the doorframe.

"Please don't tempt me right now. It's been almost a month..." Logan sighed, a pained look on his face.

"And how am I negatively tempting you now?" I raised my eyebrows. "You totally could come over here and-"

"Logan? Ready!" I heard Henry call from somewhere else in the house.

I gasped, clinging the towel back against my body.

"I'll see you later." Logan gave me a wink before walking out of the room. He shut the door behind me and I let out a frustrated groan, walking over to my suitcase.

I had no clue where the other girls were, meaning I had no clue what I'd be doing.

I finished getting ready, then instinctively went to fix my necklace that Logan had gotten me last month.

But it wasn't there.

My heart sunk to my stomach as I let out a gasp.

"Nicole! Grace!" I screamed, running into the bathroom where the water from the shower was still draining.

"What? What's going on?" Nicole asked quickly, appearing in the bathroom door with a shirtless Mark right behind her.

"My necklace- I don't- It's not-" I stammered, looking in the last of the water as it went down the drain.

"The heart one that Lo- the heart one?" Nicole corrected herself, looking just as nervous as I was feeling.

I just nodded, tears collecting in my eyes.

"I can't believe this I've barely had it for a month and now it's gone." I cried.

"Hey hey don't cry." Grace said softly, suddenly appearing next to me. "When was the last time you had it?"
