I never got to tell you (1/2)

"I-" Jason was embarrassed to say it, "I l-like you, Dick Grayson." Jason practiced in front of the mirror. Why am I even doing this? Jason was so embarrassed with himself. He could never love someone. Especially someone who was practically his brother.

I can't ever tell him that I like him.

"Jason!" He faintly heard someone shout over the ringing in his ears. Jason knew that finding his birth mother would end horribly wrong. He tried to move but he couldn't because most of his bones were broken due to the explosion.

"Jason!" Jason heard the voice growing louder.

He realized it was Dick.

Jason could barely keep his eyes opened.

"No. No. No," Jason saw Dick run towards him. He fell to the ground and started to cry. "You're going to be okay, Jay." Jason felt Dick's arms cradle him.

"You can't die! Jay, I love you. I refuse to let you go!" Dick hugged him, "I like you, Jay. So you better stay alive! I need your answer!" Dick shouted, in tears. That was the last thing Jason heard when he drifted into the darkness.
