Priceless

Czarina

Valentines.

Everyday, little by little, everything seemed to be getting harder. I couldn't get a touch with Rex more often now. He'd been so busy this past few days.

On the other side, I finally could get a touch with Zabrina, little by little.

She'd been doing better, avoiding trouble with me either with my friends, anyway.

I honestly wasn't the person who would make time to celebrate this kind of celebration. I honestly don't believe that only on Febuary 14 we should celebrate love and everything about it.

"I miss him." I said out of conciousness.

Or kahit sa pag-uwi?" She asked.

"Almost a week." I said.

"Why didn't you talk to him now?"

Just as the moment she said that, I caught Rex gaze on us - on me, rather. He smiled.

I made to walk.

I coughed as I neared beside him, obviously getting his attention.

"Rex," I said without knowing how to started.

"Upo ka." He offered.

I sat down.

Walang kahit anong ekspresiyon.

"Sorry. Hindi na kita masyadong nabibigyan ng time." He paused, taking a look back at his guitar. "Siguro, hindi muna."

I nooded, unconciously.

What is this I'm feeling?

It hurts.

I wanted to ask futher, but he seemed to refuse every question. He seemed no interest of making a conversation with anyone.

Something inside me burning.

"Mamayang gabi, susubukan kong pumunta sa inyo." He continued.

I didn't know why I'm telling these words. "Marami pang next time."

He nooded.

I had to regret refusing his offer to come, because I really wanted to. I just wanted to hear the words his own will.

Ayokong mamilit.

I couldn't bear the conversation any longer.

"Sige, maiwan muna kita rito." I was about to leave when he grabbed my hand, pulling me back off my seat.

"Dito ka lang."

An unfamiliar feeling crawled, again. I felt my cheeks heating up.

"Handa na ba ang lahat?" Sigaw ng emcee mula sa microphone.
