“Zen, ano ba? Gumising ka na nga!”

I was taken aback because of my sister’s yell. I opened my eyes and saw Leigh, my sister who’s five years older than me.

“Magtatanghali na Zen! We’re here in Manila to spend our one week vacation. Iyong iba nag-iitiman na kalalangoy sa pool tapos ikaw!?” Galit niyang sermon sa akin.

Yeah, we’re indeed here in Manila. I and my family to be exact, and we’re staying on one of the five star hotel in this city.

I am not supposed to be here kasi ayoko naman talagang sumama sana but then it would be boring in Cebu kapag ako lang mag-isa ro’n. Though, I could still spend time with my friends like Layzelle, Issa, my twin best friend and the boys. Pero I wouldn’t miss a chance to be with my family. So bad, dahil nasasabik ako sa malambot na kama even when we’re still in the plane that’s why napahaba ang tulog ko ngayon.

“Oh! Ano? Tutunganga ka na lang? Magpapatawag ba ako ng room service para sa brunch mo o bababa ka sa restaurant?”

This girl. Damn! She really can’t shut her mouth. Pero ’yan ang gusto ko sa aking kapatid. Though they’re not telling me that they cared, but you can feel it.

“Zen! Sagutin mo naman ako,” galit pa rin niyang sabi sa akin. I giggled of what she said. Hmm, shall I answer her sarcastically? Ano kaya’ng mangyayari?

“Ate, ano ba’ng sagot na gusto mo? Are you courting me that you badly want my answer?” Sarkastiko kong sagot sa kaniya. She probably ran out of patience that she immediately stormed out of my room and slammed the door harshly.

Napailing na lang ako sa kaniyang ginawa at tumawa.

So much for this nonsense, Zen. I told myself at the back of my mind.

Without wasting much of my time, I went to the bathroom and took a bath that lasted for almost thirty minutes, I assume? Without wasting my time, huh? I once again chuckled at my own thoughts before I opened my luggage and chose what to wear.

As usual, I wore my white loose shirt, a sweatpants, and my shoes. I opened one of my bags and got my watch from there and wore it. Kung nandito pa mga tita ko at nakikita ako na ganito ang suot, they will bombard me with their statement saying I looked boyish with the clothes I’m wearing.

These are the clothes I’m comfortable to wear at the moment.

Hindi ko rin nakalimutang suklayan ang buhok ko bago ko kinuha ang aking cellphone at wallet. I won’t be too dumbed to leave my wallet, right? I left my room and at the moment I am walking through the hallway of the hotel when a notification pop up which I open directly to see what it is. Well it's just my sister posting some photos on Instagram.

So she's already in the pool? 

Ibabalik ko na sana ang aking cellphone sa bulsa ko nang naramdaman kong may bumangga sa akin!

“What the fuck! Are you blind?!” Inis kong sigaw.

Hindi ko alam pero bigla talaga akong napasigaw dahil sa nangyari. At mas lalo pa akong nainis noong naglakad lamang siya na para bang walang nangyari at nilampasan ako. The nerve!
