CHAPTER 13

The whole week had passed smoothly. There are days when Aza and I went out for a walk or sometimes eat lunch together. I also poured some of my time doing painting. I finished a lot a artworks since I'm really inspired about anything lately. While Momㅡ she never failed to text me every day just to ask if I'm doing okay and if I already say yes to Aza. Hindi pa ata titigil kung hindi ko sinabing ipapakilala ko ito sa birthday niya which made her excited. Good thing, Aza's free on that day. Or he really just free himself to attend the party.

Still it feels like a dreamㅡ having a good relation with Mom. It felt like I have waited for that without even knowing it. Or maybe, I really delayed it for my own pace of healing. Plus, Lieze sent me message saying that she's happy about Mom and I. Doon palang mas sumaya na ako lalo kahit alam kong malabo iyon kay Loren.

At least, Lieze is trying for me.

Or maybe, not really for me? Baka para kay Mommy? Gayunpaman, kahit anong rason masaya ako na maayos na kami kahit papaano. At least, we're going there.

Something that I'm looking forward too.

Enrollment came and I woke up to early to prepared since Kylie's idea is to come as early as possible. Ayaw niya kasi talagang naaabutan nang mahabang pila dahil nakakaubos nga naman talaga iyon nang oras. I'm simple wearing a jeans and a t-shirt paired with sneakers and my small backpack.

It's our fourth year in college now. Kaunting tiis nalang at makakapagtapos na. It's pacifying to think that we made it this far. Ang layo narin mula sa umpisa. Para sa first semester namin ay kaunting units lang ang kailangan naming i-take. Sa second semester naman ay ang practicum namin na pinakahihintay ni Che. Kung pwede nga lang sigurong mag-practicum siya sa buong school year na ito ay gagawin niya.

"Nasaan si Zion, Api?" Tanong ni Davis bago sumimsim sa kaniyang milktea.

Agad umiling si Api at ibinaba ang kanyang milktea sa lamesa. Nagtataka nga rin ako at hindi niya ito kasama ngayon. Halos hindi na nga mapaghiwalay ang dalawang iyon. Ang tagal narin nila, 6 years. Hindi rin biro iyon. I even asked Api if there's a problem between them and she said that everything is fine naman. Madalas lang daw siyang hindi nakakapagparamdam dahil may problema ang childhood friend niya. Api and her pure heart, really. Sobrang bait. If you need her, she'll be there for you. Without hesitation. She's not perfect; she cursed, she drinks a lot, she sometimes cut on her class, she even lied to her parents for a reason but definitely she will never turn her back on you.

She's too nice.

And, I'm scared for her. She never break down in front of us. She never shared her problems. She always looks so fine even if her eyes says otherwise.

"Bukas na raw siya mag-e-enroll." Sagot nito at napanguso.

Napatango lang si Davis at kinulit na si Kylie. Alas dos pa lamang at nandito kami ngayon sa Pizza Hub malapit sa university. Paborito naming puntahan ito lalo na kapag vacant. Malapit lang din kasi at pwedeng lakarin. And, honestly, you can guarantee the best taste of their products.

"Nasaan mga kaibigan mo, Dav? Bakit hindi mo ata kasama?" Tanong ni Che.

"Hinahanap niyan si Patt." Sabi naman ni Kylie.

"Excuse me?" Che rolled her eyes. "Oh my gosh, not my type. So baduy kaya and corny!"

Lihim akong napangiti sa sagot ni Che. I've know her since first year at madalas din naming makasama sila Patt since friend niya si Davis. They never talked before kaya nagulat kami ng makitang magkasama sila minsan. We immediately called Che and asked her where she was and she denied it. She said, she's at home that time. Ngayon na nga lang ulit inasar ito ni Kylie about kay Patt.
