"You have two scheduled meetings tomorrow, Ma'am. Umaga at hapon. Sa hapon hindi required dahil board members meeting 'yon pero pinasama ni Sir Franco ang pangalan niyo." Bilin sa akin ni Jessa, ang sekretarya ko, habang pabalik kami sa aking opisina.

I was told to do briefing for those newly hired employees in our company since the assigned employee for that was sent for the three-day convention in Batangas.

After the issue died down and when I'm finally okay, I immediately transfered here in our company. I've been working here for two years and so far everything is good. I honestly like what I'm doing here. It was also hard for me to leave my friends in Sanchez Corporation but it's for my own good.

"Okay, I still don't know if I will attend..." I replied as I checked my wrist watch. "Anyway, just send me the agenda through email so I can review it tonight. I have to go now. Thank you, Jessa." I smiled at her.

She smiled back and wiggled her brows. "Okay, Ma'am! May date ka ba? Kanina ka pa madaling-madali e!"

I looked at her on disbelief and shook my head. I gathered my things and applied some powder and lipstick before I head out. Malisyoso naman niya akong tinapunan ng tingin. Napaka-issue talaga nitong si Jessa.

"I'll buy grocery, Jessa. If you can consider that as a date, then it is..." I retorted and raise her brow. "You can go now too. O sasama ka pa sa date ko?" Tanong ko pa para asarin siya.

"Echosera ka, Ma'am! 'Di mo sure ha!" Aniya at napahalukipkip pa habang pinapanuod akong mag-ayos. "Ay nako! Sa dami ba naman nang nagpapansin sa'yo wala ka paring napipili? Move on din tayo sa racer boy na 'yon!"

Hilaw akong napangiti ng marinig ang sinabi niya. Agad naman niyang napansin iyon at halatang kabado na. Her smile disappeared as if I really scared her by merely smiling at her.

"Hala! Ma'am, joke lang. Sorry na."

"It's okay," I smiled genuinely. Mukhang iiyak na naman siya e. "Matagal narin naman 'yon. I really have to go now, Jessa. See you tomorrow."

"Bye, Ma'am! Sorry talaga!" She apologized loudly.

I exhaled a large amount of air the moment I went out of my office. It's been 3 years, I know I'm completely okay now. No one dared to talk about it again. That story was taboo. She's curious about what happened and why did it happened. Wala naman akong masabi. I don't want to open that topic again. It left a deeper cut and wounds within me. Hindi lang niya ako iniwan at sinaktan... Instead, he didn't say any single words to clean my name... Na I am really his girlfriend that time. He let those people who doesn't know a single thing about us meddle and hurt me emotionally and mentally. Literal na iniwan niya ako sa ere.

Those people bullied me through social media. Their words cut deeper into my heart. They made fun of me as if I did something wrong to them. They made me feel so worthless and unaccepted. I became their laughingstock. I really felt that my old wounds became raw again that time, and for certain that it can kill me.

Despite of the massive hate I have received, I realized how lucky I am.

Noong bata ako, wala ako ni isang kaibigan but during that particular timeㅡ the lowest point of my life... I have my friends who fought for me. They didn't left me instead they became my voice when I can't even speak for myself. Sila Kylie, Che, Api and even the guys...
