You awoke the next morning to the sound of your watch's loud incessant beeping. As you moved to sit up, your muscles screamed in agony, causing you to slump back down and into the bed. That was when you noticed how incredibly sore you were. Oh god... Heavy betrayed me... working out twice helped me be a bit less sore then, but now I'm a million times more sore! Sighing as you buried your face into your pillow, you tried to block out the sounds of your watch so that you didn't have to get up. No working out today I guess. Finally getting sick and tired of the alarm, you stretched over and reached for the watch, even though every muscle in your body ached so badly. Quickly grabbing the watch and silencing it, you put it on and while doing so, accidentally turning on the GPS. That reminds me, what am I gonna do today? Cause, uh, there's no way in hell I'm working out. Well, the fact the watch's GPS just opened like that could be a sign! You should try and adventure around the base again! Or, it's actually because of the fact I have butterfingers and every movement I make hurts so much I twitch. Well- either way, there's no harm done in trying to look around again. Besides, you did miss a LOT of rooms. Ugh, fine. I guess I gotta pass the time somehow.
Slowly forcing yourself out of bed, you began your morning routine but decided to stay in your pajamas since you wouldn't be working out. Pulling on some socks so that your feet didn't freeze, you headed out to the kitchen to make yourself some breakfast. For some reason, you actually felt like making yourself something, instead of just having cereal. You searched the pantry and fridge, searching the kitchen for something that looked good. Soon enough, you came across a box of batter for pancakes. Raising a brow, you took the box down from its perch and scanned it, making sure to read through its instructions as well. I could probably make this, right? I mean- it looks simple enough. You took the better and closed the pantry, looking for the ingredients and some bowls along with a spoon to mix it all together with. You ended up with a decently successful couple of pancakes, which were all somewhat burnt but edible enough. They were surprisingly good, even after they had been burnt. You were proud of yourself, to say the least, especially with how you hadn't actually ever cooked anything before. The most you had ever done was fry up some rabbits over an open fire, and this was nothing like that.
Once you were finished, you cleaned up after yourself and headed out to the rec room, collapsing into a couch. Sooooo...? Are you gonna go adventure or what? Ugh- can I have five more minutes? I want my burnt pancakes to digest, and hopefully, by then some more of my soreness will be gone. Fine, fine. After about 20 or so minutes of watching TV, you grew bored and switched onto your watch's GPS. Alrighty then, where to go... Lifting your finger to the GPS, you decided to do a round of 'eenie-meenie-minie-moe' to decide which room to check out first. Your index finger jumped from one unmarked room to another, and by the end of the song, it landed on a large room that was across the base from you. Groaning and rolling your eyes, you frowned. Did I have to pick a room that's on the other side of the base? Well, 'eenie-meenie-minie-moe' is final, so ya gotta go now- no 'ifs-ands- or buts'. Ugh, fine. Dragging yourself from the couch, you turned off the TV and began your journey towards the room. Making your way through the halls, you eventually came across a fancy set of doors, which when you looked down at your watch's GPS, seemed to be the same room that you had chosen. You gulped, looking back up at the intimidating set of doors. Knocking first to make sure no one was there, you got no response and slowly opened the door to see what would be best described as a lounging room of sorts. The room stenched of smoke, but looked fancy, with a fireplace and a luxurious single-seater sofa, along with a small table that was placed next to it that had an ashtray on it. Looking around the room, there were a few paintings featuring knives, and there was a small bar to your left. When you saw the knives, your mind immediately assumed that this was probably Spy's room, or at the very least a room that Spy hung around in often. If this really is Spy's room- or at least one of them- then I should probably get out. You know, so that I'm not murdered. I'm surprised the doors weren't locked in the first place. As you went to leave, you saw a large desk to your right that was covered in papers and documents, which were all messily strewn about. Glancing to the door, and then back at the desk, you snuck towards the desk, curiosity getting the best of you. If you get caught, you know you're gonna be killed on the spot, right? Uh, yea, probably- but I gotta see what the heck this is. Spy doesn't seem like the type to be messy. Flipping through the papers, you saw that a lot of them were documents on other mercenaries, along with some other notes and scribblings. There was a small pile of papers that looked as if they were written in code, which made you raise a brow. Moving a couple of the papers out of the way, a picture caught your eye. Plucking it out from underneath, you brought it up to your eyes to see that it an old photo of Spy and a masked woman who were smiling even though they were covered in blood. Written below it was a note that said, 'To being the best of pals! I'll miss you, ya backstabber!' Next to the note was a heart that was made with two bloody fingerprints. As you squinted down at the picture, you couldn't help but feel as if the woman was familiar to you, but you'd have no idea how you could ever know this woman, due to the fact she was dressed up like she was a mercenary like Spy. I feel like I'm looking at some of Spy's more sensitive stuff... I should probably leave, I don't wanna breach his privacy anymore than I already have. Hiding the picture back underneath the papers and folders, you briskly left the room, making sure to close the doors behind you.
