You awoke around an hour or two later to the sound of knuckles rapping against your door. You let out a small groan as you sat up, blinking as you rasped out a, "Come in." The door opened to reveal Heavy standing there with two plates in his hands, and a book tucked underneath his arm. You wrapped your blanket around you, shifting back to the head of your bed and sitting up on your pillow as you rubbed your eyes. Heavy spoke, appearing cautious. "I know doctor said he would come give you dinner, but he is busy now. So, I bring food instead... is this okay with little one?" You nodded, smiling politely. "Yeah, it's fine. Thanks a bunch..." You got up and took the plate from him. It a simple grilled cheese with some of Heavy's personal 'sandvich' touches, that being the added meats and the olive with a toothpick striking through the entire meal. Even with how appealing the sandwich usually would have appeared to you, you had no appetite, so you simply brought it to your bedside and set it down, staring at it in hopes of becoming hungry. Heavy looked at you with a worrisome expression, his brows turned upward in concern. He sighed, closing the door behind him as he walked further into the room, sitting himself down on your desk chair. He held his plate up while he ate, trying not to get crumbs everywhere. After his first bite, he gave you a confused look. "Do you not want sandvich?" You blinked, shaking your head. "N-No! I mean- yeah, I do. It looks really good, it's just... I'm not hungry, I guess..." The empty feeling in your stomach opposed your excuse, but it was the only thing you could think of saying. "Oh... I wanted to share meal with ditya, but if you are not hungry, I understand." You felt a pang within your heart when he said this. Did he come up here to eat with me? And keep me company? You let out a sigh as you set the plate on your lap, taking a bite out of your sandwich. Heavy lit up when you did this, clearly happy that you had. That single bite was enough to bring your appetite back, due to the delicious craftsmanship of the sandwich. You hummed softly as you took another bite, Heavy watching you with a delighted smile. The two of you ate in silence, to your surprise and relief.

Heavy finished before you, but once you were finished, you stacked your empty plate on top of his. "Thanks for sticking around, Heavy. That was... nice." Heavy smiled softly, still sitting in the desk chair as he let out a quiet chuckle. "Yes, I am glad little one thinks so." He readjusted himself within his seat, bringing out the book he had with him earlier, suddenly looking shy and bashful. "I wish to read a book to you. It is a book my sisters enjoy very much, and is something I cherish. I want to share it with you, ditya." Scratching your arm, you sat there for a moment before shrugging, a gentle smile on your face. "Sure, I don't see why not." Heavy smiled, looking a little relieved as he took out a pair of glasses, putting them on as he opened the book. You got comfortable, moving to be underneath the covers and blankets of your bed while leaning into the giant teddy bear he had gotten you for your birthday. He glanced up at you as if making sure you were ready and tucked in, before then turning the page to what you would believe to be the beginning of the book. The book appeared to be a short chapter-book, and was written in what you were pretty sure was Russian, so you couldn't make out what the book would be about until Heavy told you the title. "The Tale of Pan's Labyrinth." You didn't know anything about this "Pan" guy or anything about a labyrinth, but you were still intrigued. Snuggling into the giant teddy bear behind you, you watched and listened to Heavy intently as he told you the story of Pan, his labyrinth, and the girl who just so happened to encounter them. At first, things were odd, but certain parts of it couldn't help but make you squirm in anticipation or dread, and internally call out, what on earth are you doing?! That's so stupid, stop! You're going to die! You made it a little less than half-way through the book when you yawned, growing more fatigued by the second. Heavy noticed this, and let out a soft chuckle as he bookmarked the spot you two had stopped, closing the book and getting up from his seat. "I believe little one must go to sleep now." You let out a quiet laugh as you rubbed your eyes, yawning again. "Yeah, I guess so." Heavy smiled and turned to leave, saying his goodbyes and good nights when you stopped him. "Hey- uh, Heavy?" He looked back to you, waiting for you to continue with a small, "Yes?" You rubbed your arm awkwardly, looking away from him as you asked something you never knew you'd be able to properly ask for again. "Can I... Can I have a hug, please?" You were hesitant to ask, but the moment you did Heavy's expression shifted into a tender and compassionate grin as he made his way back over to you. He enveloped you in a warm and comfortable hug; the type of hug that made you feel safe. "Of course, ditya." You hugged back, feeling full of bittersweet contentment as you latched onto him. He smelled of old books, home cooking, and gunpowder, which was an odd combination, but still sweet. The warm feeling of embrace left you as Heavy rubbed your back one final time, before then loosening his grip as he gave you an affectionate kiss on the top of your head, letting go as the both of you looked at eachother. You then lied down, going underneath the soft blankets on your bed. Heavy helped tuck you into bed and then turned to leave, and was about to close the door behind him when he peeked back through with a tired, but caring expression.
