Day 1:

Pyro had gotten word of your passing. Not directly, but by overhearing someone else saying it. It hit them like a wall, and they didn't know what to do. They shook, but no tears came. They simply shook, despair and anxiety and dread overwhelming their senses. They were all alone, and they felt as if the fact were true within all aspects of their life. Staring down at their hands, they clenched them into fists. No... I can't. Engie would be upset.

Pyro spent the day somewhat alone, knowing everyone else needed their space before they tried to seek out someone  to be there. It was a tough day, but they were able to distract themselves reasonably well, with plushies and sugary treats. It didn't feel the same without you, though.

Day 2:

Pyro couldn't take being alone any longer. Coming out from their room, they searched for someone, anyone to spend their time with. Pyro hoped to maybe at least distract themselves, but would be overjoyed if some physical affection could be shown. They came across a few of the mercenaires, and tried to strike up a conversation with them. Every single time Pyro would either be waved off, ignored, or talked to for only a moment before the opposing mercenary would leave. Pyro was depressed by the fact, so they finally decided to find Engineer, hoping the man wouldn't be too busy.

In reality, he was of course. Engineer was hunched over his workbench, enveloped and fully focused on whatever project he was working on, so he didn't notice when Pyro entered the garage. They didn't want to bother him as he worked, so they sat, the man's simple and unknowing company capable of keeping Pyros emotions at bay for a little while. Eventually, the man went still, having fallen asleep. Pyro gabbed a blanket, draping it over the man's shoulder, giving him a hug before pulling up a chair for themselves. They sat in it, crossing their legs and eyes wide open. Being the time, it would have been good for them to try and fall asleep. But they didn't want to. They didn't want the nightmares to come.

Day 3:

Engineer eventually awoke, Pyro still looking at the man with an unwavering stare, willing themself to stay awake. They were snapped out of their trance as Engineer stood, stretching. He immediately left the garage, likely to head for the kitchen and still not noticing Pyro. Pyro thought this to be a little funny, but it saddened them a little. They left the garage to go to their room, grabbing a few coloring activities to do while Engineer ate and worked. Pyro showed up at the garage every so often, trying to make conversation only to be ignored by the man. Pyro was incredibly disheartened and depressed by the fact, but still stuck around the Engie for the company.

When Engie fell asleep, Pyro felt as if they couldn't bear it any longer. They left, heading into their room as they bundled themselves up in fuzzy blankets and plushies, shaking once again. Hours passed as they sat there, slick with sweat underneath their suit as heat built up, their figure going still as the time passed.

Day 4:

An entire day passed as Pyro sat in bed, plushies snuggled up to them. They refused to sleep, even with the amount of pretty lights and colors and fuzzies surrounding them. They slowly unraveled themselves from the blankets, lumbering towards the charred door that lead to what used to be their bathroom. Pyro dug a few chemicals out from under the sink, along with some gasoline and matches. They made a concoction that would make the fire burn brighter and longer, and would use less fuel. They dumped all of the concoction into the bathtub, filling it only an inch. They got into the tub, lighting the match, and dropping it. In an instant, the flame spreading and eating up the fuel they had made for it. Pyro sat there for some time, playing with the fuel and the fire when they heard a voice rise out of the cries of the flames. "Pyro! Stop it!" It was Engineer. The voice felt muffled and far away, and it was as if they couldn't move their body. They didn't care to move their body. They didn't want to. Engineer didn't care about them, why would he? No one cared about them. They were a monster. They were a freak.
