Sana and Jungkook arrived on campus. They were walking to their first class together. Jungkook still didn't find those bastards who beat up Sana last time. He remembered her crying in the bathroom stalls nearly unconscious before he had to carry her all the way to the nurse's office. On school campuses bullying and school violence is a common occurrence. Whether it is just a simple text behind someone's back spreading rumors or actually physically hurting them, it creates a toxic environment in the school. Especially at Seoul National University where every rich brat feels like they are entitled. It is an eat or be eaten mentality and many won't survive. Unfortunately despite Sana's intelligence she is very naive to this. She grew up in a middle-class family so she doesn't understand what the people who are a the top of the social ladder will do anything and everything to remain on the top. They are willing to hurt someone else for their own personal gain. But Jungkook was not oblivious to this in fact, he was going to protect his sunshine at all costs. He wasn't going to let the same situation happen again.
Jungkook and Sana took a seat in the middle of the classroom together. There were still whispers about the odd couple on campus. "Are they still together?" "Why is Jungkook messing with a girl like her?" "I heard she is not even rich". "It's probably just a one time thing, it will pass over soon". The whispers intensified quickly. Jungkook caught a glance at one of the girl's phones. Apparently she was texting in the group chat about how much of a slut Sana is. This made Jungkook's blood boil. How dare they talk about my girlfriend like that? he thought. He clenched his fists together and his visible veins popped out of his neck and biceps. He definitely wasn't playing around. Sana was just busy studying, she had her head in a book and didn't seem to pay attention at what was going around her. When she turned the next page of the book, she accidentally dropped her pencil. She bent over to pick it up but lost balance and almost fell off the chair before a pair of strong muscular arms was there holding her upright. "Are you okay?" "Please be more careful next time" Jungkook asked with sincerity. Sana blinked rapidly and apologized for her clumsiness. Jungkook let out a small laugh "I will catch you if you fall". "Always remember that". Sana let out a small smile to Jungkook.
Jimin got dragged into the kitchen by Dahyun's father. "Do you know how to cook?" Mr. Kim asked. Jimin put his hand at the back of head "Not really, I just have chefs who usually prepare the meals for me". Mr. Kim eyed him up and down "It's alright you seem more like a business man". Jimin didn't know what Mr. Kim was implying but he went along with it anyway. "Let's make some kimchi-samgyeupsal-kimbap shall we?" Mr. Kim asked still eyeing Jimin. Jimin nodded and nervously followed Mr. Kim. As they were preparing the dish, Mr. Kim decided to test Jimin. "So, why did you have interest in my daughter?" "She keeps me humble" Jimin replied. "She is very kind and caring and she helps me when I am at my lowest". "Mr. Kim, I know that I am not the perfect man for your daughter". "There are a lot of things that I can't do". "I can't cook, I can't clean, I have a lot of things given to me but what I can tell you is that my love for your daughter is immense". "I promise to take care of her". "I know she means the world to you so I mean her no harm". "Please entrust her to me". Mr. Kim was taken aback by the statement. The man effectively won over Mr. Kim. He thought that Park Jimin was a swindler who was only attracted to his daughter's beauty. He thought he was just a rich man who would use his daughter and throw her away onto the dirty pavement but he realized he was wrong". Park Jimin was more than that...
Dahyun couldn't help herself and walked into the kitchen. "Appa can I help?" Mr. Kim just sighed and put his head down in defeat. He could never defeat his daughter's pouting face it was his weakness. "Sure Dubu". "Come here" he said with a slight smile. Dahyun approached Jimin and started helping him with the kimchi. "Hopefully, it wasn't too hard for you" Dahyun said while giggling. Jimin his squinted his eyes and blushed out of embarrassment. He hated being useless and receiving help from other people but if it was Dahyun he was more than willing to give in. Mr. Kim watched in shock as he saw his daughter's laughter and smile. He hasn't seen this much excitement in her eyes since they were a family of three and Dahyun's mother didn't leave them. Now with Park Jimin his daughter is smiling from ear to ear. He watched them carefully as his hate turned into love for the couple. He pulled Jimin over and whispered in this ear "I'll give you a shot kid" as he winked at him. Jimin finally smiled warmly as he got permission from Mr. Kim.
After a few hours the group of three finally prepared the meal. They managed to finish the meal afterwards as all of them talked and laughed telling stories about each other. Gradually as the day went on Mr. Kim warmed up to the sight of Jimin and eventually accepted the idea of Jimin as a son. It was night time and it was time for the Dahmin couple to head home. Dahyun gave a giant hug to her father. "Thanks appa for meeting Jimin". "No problem sweetheart I kinda like him" he whispered in Dahyun's ear afraid to admit it to Jimin's face. He then put his arm around Jimin and ruffled his hair. "Take care of my daughter she is in your hands now". "If you hurt her I won't be afraid to slaughter you" Mr. Kim said and he whispered in Jimin's ear sending chills down his spine. "See you around kid". Jimin and Dahyun nodded and bowed before taking their leave. Jimin got into the car totally exhausted. "I have been working as a CEO at Park Corporations but nothing compares to this torture". Dahyun burst out laughing. "I'm glad of today" she said while holding Jimin's hand. "My dad said he likes the person I love the most".
