Beach

For the nth time I yawned while hugging myself. The thick cloth of my pullover isn't enough to warm me. Northeast wind blew and it was bone chilling. Well, lamigin din kasi talaga ako.

"Ate! Wala pa ba? Ang tagal naman nila!" I complained.

Kanina pa ako halos manginig dito sa labas! It's just predawn and we're already outside! Imagine how cold the breeze is at this time, plus it's still dark! The lamp post is our only source of light.

My sister nudged me. "'Yang bunganga mo. Nakakabulahaw ka sa kapitbahay, ang lakas ng boses mo."

I frown at her. Ang tagal kasi ng family ni ate Daisy! The call time was 3:30 am so we won't be jammed in traffic and para maabutan ang morning buffet pero 4:00 na and wala pa rin sila! The van we'll be using is with them pa naman.

So Kuya Daniel decided to check on them kaya naiwan kaming dalawa ni ate dito sa labas. Our things are already outside para mabilis na raw ilipat sa van, while Mamita and Gab are inside since baka raw magkasakit pag nalamigan. How about me?! I might catch cold too!

"Chill ka lang, Lalie. 'Di pa nasikat araw badtrip ka na," Genesis then chuckled before sipping in his coffee.

"Sinong hindi maba badtrip kapag mukha mo ang bumungad?" I shot back.

His friends who's with him in front of the toyota camry they're going to use chortle. Genesis rolled his eyes at them and just shut up his mouth. Buti nga sayo.

"Lalie!" my sister muttered, giving me a warning look.

Eh. Whatever.

"Luh, excited na 'ko! Tagal kong hindi nakabalik ng Batangas. Wonder pets on the road!" Jhaylo said energetically.

She's wearing a hoodie and a short. Halos lahat naman sila naka hoodie, only differs in their bottoms. Cora is wearing a pants, Genesis is in shorts and Reinier, he's wearing a white shirt inside his maong jacket and then ripped jeans.

"Hyper mo," commented by Reinier. Wow, I like his husky voice.

She rolled her eyes at him.

"Saan nga kayo last year?"

"Jomalig Quezon, ate," answered by Cora.

She finally talked. I don't know what's up with me, kanina ko pa sila pinagmamasdan at inoobserbahan. What I notice about Cora is that, she's a silent person. Or maybe not... Basta she look snob because of her being quiet all the time and her poker face.

"Maganda doon ate, sobra. Parang next to Boracay or Palawan. Kaso nga lang medyo malayo. Nakakapagod mag maneho tapos sasakay pa ng bangka."

So Genesis is the one to drive huh. They didn't brought a driver. I wonder how they managed to get there e sa pagkakaalam ko he's just eighteen years old, meaning he just got his driver's license or baka naman eighteen na siya by that time. I don't really know.

I just shrugged off the thoughts.

"Jhaylo, ang dami mo namang dala," reklamo niya ng mabuksan ang compartment ng kotse.

Sinilip din 'yon ni Jhaylo. "Hindi naman, a! Sakto lang 'yan. Three days and two nights din kaya tayo. 'Tsaka dala ko kasi ang camera ko, then tripod pa."

"Magpho-photoshoot ka lang ata doon, e," Reinier teased then ruffled Jhaylo's hair. She smacked his arm.

"Naku parang etong si Lalie. Ang laki ng bitbit na lalagyan, oh," Ate Ada chuckled and even pointed my luggage. Sakto lang kaya 'yon, that's where my essentials are.
