Dissapointing

"Finally!" I exclaimed when we finally reached the top of Pulang Lupa.

It's still dark since it's still early in the morning, sinamahan pa ng malamig na simoy ng hangin that's why the ambiance is kinda chilling. Afterall, this is what Genesis and I are after to. And we're planning to witness the sunrise.

We were both panting when we settle ourselves on the bamboo bench provided in the area.

"Ang lamig," he murmured as he sniff and wrapped his arms around himself.

I hugged myself too. It's really cold. Kung noon nga na tirik na ang araw ay sobrang lamig pa rin dito dahil sa mahangin, ano pa kaya ngayon.

Although we're both freezing cold and been here for many times, the splendid view of Nagcarlan never failed to amaze us. Up from here, we could see how alive Nagcarlan is. Buhay na ang mga ilaw na nagmumula sa mga establisyemento.

We stayed in our position quietly. It was like we're both awestruck and can't seem to move on. The time we're just sitting there and appreciating the nature's beauty was the time when the shades of sky slowly turn to the mixture of purple and pink.

Halos hindi ko namalayan 'yon.

Cold wind blew once again and we both shivered at that. Nagkatinginan pa kami at napatawa sa isa't-isa. He then suddenly stretched his arms wide open while looking at me, as if asking me for a hug.

Kumibot ang kilay ko. Is he serious or just teasing me? At kung gano'n nga, akala niya ba ay aatrasan ko siya?

I smirked before nearing him and jammed myself in his arms. I snaked my arms in his waist to hug him more. Sobrang lapit namin sa isa't-isa kaya hindi na nakakapagtaka kung nanunuot sa ilong ko ang amoy niya. His scent is really addicting, I feel like I could sniff him all day.

I heard him choke in his own saliva. Mapang-asar akong tumingin sa kanya at kinindatan pa siya. Umawang pa muna ang labi niya saka ako inirapan. Then soon it was replaced by his priceless smile, the one with really deep dimples of him showing, and he hugged me back too.

It's warm. Mas isiniksik ko pa ang sarili sa kanya. He let me rest my head on his chest.

"You fit perfectly. Ginawa ka talaga para sa'kin."

"You wish! I fit perfectly because I'm sexy!" agap ko na nakaani ng halakhak mula sa kaniya.

"Malapit na ang simula ng klase..." he trailed off while caressing my hair.

Lately, we've been affectionate to each other. Maybe because we're really comfortable with each other now.

"Yeah," was the only thing that came from my mouth.

It's actually saddening. Few more weeks and babalik na ako sa dati kong buhay. I feel like everything here in Nagcarlan would just remain a memory once I'm back in Manila, kasama na sila doon. I don't think we could keep our friendship because soon we'll grow and become busy with our own lives.

But I will always treasure them.

I lift my head and look at him. Ayaw ko mang aminin but I will really miss him. Thankfully, I already memorized every details of him.

"Masamang manitig," untag niya at saka lumingon sa'kin ng naka-ngisi.

"And why?" I asked while stifling a smile.

"Nakakakilig." He then crack up on his own word. Kahit pa ako ay natawa rin sa kanya.

Kumawala ako sa kanya at hinampas ang braso niya.
