Chapter 17

Genesis

I woke up the next day with a smile on my face. I'm in a good mood! It's just seven in the morning pero gising na gising na agad ako. Before, I would consider this as early pero ngayon para sa'kin ay late na 'to. I always wake up right when the chickens of our neighbor start to make some noise. I've become an early person and that's the best change in me. It's refreshing to woke up early in the morning, with enough sleep hours than to woke up late.

Habang nakatulala ako sa kisama ng room ko ay bigla akong napatawa. Hindi ko talaga ang makalimutan ang mukha ni Genesis. He looked very embarrassed and annoyed yesterday!

That's what he gets for being an asshole.

I do some warm ups first before taking a shower. I have no plans yet for today but it's better to get prepared na agad 'no. I wear a black cropped top and paired it with my faded maong short.

Pagkababa ko sa dining area ay nakita ko si Ate na abala sa pagpapakain kay Gab. I neared them and kiss my niece on his cheek. So cute.

I sat down on the chair beside him and starts to put fried rice on my plate.

"Saan naman ang punta mo ngayon?" she starts to ask.

I shrugged at her. "I don't know yet. Magtatanong pa ako kay Genesis."

"Dati ayaw na ayaw mong lumabas ng bahay. Ngayon hindi ka na mahagilap dito."

I rolled my eyes at her but smile inside. I hate Nagcarlan that much before pero ngayon I'm starting to love it here and even visit every corners of it.

"Told you it's boring nga dito sa bahay mo. Aren't you bored here Ate? You're like a prisoner in your own house."

I saw a glimpse of her sad smile but she was quick to cover it with a forced smile.

"Minsan nabuburyo pero sanay na. 'Tsaka nandito naman si Gab," she then sighed. "Kaya ikaw, 'wag munang mag-aasawa."

"If ever na magkaroon ka ng chance to change things, will you still marry Kuya Daniel?"

Napatitig siya sa'kin. She then pursed her lips and avoid my gaze.

"Ano ba namang tanong 'yan? Siyempre. Kung wala 'yon edi wala si Gab. Kumain ka na diyan."

"That's what I'm doing Ate."

"Ewan ko sayo. Nga pala, may kumukuha sayo na mag reyna de las flores para sa grand sagalahan kaya ipinalista na kita. Nagsabi na rin ako kay Mama, nagpadala na siya ng pera pang renta mo ng gown."

Kumunot ang noo ko. The santacruzan thing na sinasabi ni Jhaylo? What the hell? I don't even have a partner!

"Ate!" I complained. "You didn't asked for my permission. At saka I have no partner! Don't you dare i-pare ako sa hindi ko kakilala!"

Nakakainis naman si Ate!

"'Wag ka ng mamroblema diyan. 'Tsaka magandang oppurtunity 'to. Malay mo may talent agent na maligaw at ikaw ang matipuhan!"

"Baka cheap lang ang mga talent agent na 'yon!"

"Lalie! Ikaw talaga. 'Wag mong minamaliit ang mga ganyan."

"Yeah, whatever Ate. Hindi ako sasali diyan."

"Sasamahan ka mamaya ni Genesis sa rentahan ng gown."

"What? Hindi nga ako sasali!"

"Nakakahiya naman kay Genesis. Nasabihan ko ng partneran ka."

My eyes widened. Ugh! My sister already planned everything before I could even have a say on it.
