UnwelcomeI was pushing a cart with my luggage on when I finally saw him. He's sitting on the waiting area with a baby in his lap.
"Long time no see!" I said happily and look at his child. "Ang laki na ni Savannah, Landen! Hello baby come to Ninang!" I cooed and spread my arms.
He doesn't changed a bit.
"Do you want to eat first?"
I shook my head. I was eating the whole flight. Sobrang kabado kasi ako sa pag-uwi.
"Where's your Mommy, baby?" I baby-talked. She just giggled and continue to play my aviator.
"As usual, work," Landen answered.
"Your Mommy is workaholic, isn't she? Buti hindi mo pinipigilan."
"She wants it, then fine. Kung ako lang, ayaw ko. I just want her to stay at home bond with Savannah and wait for me to come home. But nah. She told me she'll annul me if I stop her."
I chuckled.
Tumigil kami sa sasakyan niya. He told me to get inside while he's putting my things in compartment. Kalong ko si Savannah.
"How old is Savannah na nga?" tanong ko nang makapwesto na siya sa driver's seat.
"Nine months old."
"It must be good to have your own family," I whispered. He glance at me and smirk. "I know what you're thinking. Please, I don't want to be nagged by you. I don't regret choosing myself, Landen. I'm good now."
She's very hyper and pretty and chubby. Kamukhang-kamukha ni Landen.
"Anyways thank you talaga sa pagkaon sa'kin despite your busy schedule, Landen."
"Busy ka diyan. Nasa cafe lang ako at nag-aalaga kay Savannah."
Bigla siyang na-alrma nang magsimula nang sumpungin ang anak. We stopped for awhile and put the poor baby in her baby seat behind. He tucked her there and put a feeding bottle in her mouth.
Landen look skilled already being a father.
I was wondering how would it feel to have my own family too. Will Genesis be this happy too if we have a baby?
"Where will I drop you off?" he asked in the middle of the drive.
I yawned. "Sa condo na lang."
"Alam ba nilang uuwi ka?"
"Who? My parents know that I'm going home today but I restrain them from visiting. I want to rest today."
"How about your boyfriend?"
Natigil ako. My heart tightened at the thought of him. We never contact each other the whole time I was in New York aside from his birthday and during holidays. We greet each other casually.
"Nope," I said in a small voice. "Anyways, thank you talaga sa pagkaon despite your busy schedule. Ikaw kasi ang una kong naisip, eh."
He squinted his eyes when he glanced at me.
