Tony was ecstatic that Peter was willing to stay the night. He had called Ms. Diaz personally that morning, asking if they were working longer than 8 pm, if Peter could spend the night. Ms. Diaz thought it was a wonderful idea, fully supporting it, as long as he stayed safe. Now the two nerds were walking out of the lab, Peter sketching in one of his many notebooks.
"Oh yeah. I had FRIDAY make it easier for us to communicate."
Peter looked up at his boss, quickly turning the page to write.
-How?-
"You talked to Pepper on the phone and I used the recording of it to make an almost exact replica of it. And with FRIDAY being so advanced, you can just mouth what you want to say and FRIDAY will say it in your voice."
-You recorded the phone call?-
"All phone calls are recorded."
-That makes sense-
Tony smiled.
"You can test it anytime you want, Kid."
Peter nodded his head and went back to sketching, sitting next to Tony. The others weren't at the table, so Peter had a few minutes to sketch as many designs as he could. He heard the elevator doors open and it immediately became loud. Then it was silence. He looked up and his eyes went wide with stars. In Front of him, stood the heroes themselves. There was Steve Rogers, Bucky Barnes, Sam Wilson, James Rhodes, Wanda and Pietro Maximoff, Pepper Potts (cause she is one, fight me), Clint Barton, Bruce Banner, Natasha Romanoff, and the gods themselves, Thor and Loki Odinson. Peter awkwardly smiled at them and waved slightly, still stunned to see them. Tony smiled at Steve.
"Hey, Stevie."
"Hey, Tones. Not to be rude, but who's the kid?"
Tony smiled, glad that at least Steve had a brain.
"This is my new intern, Peter! The one that went on the rant over text to his friend. He doesn't really talk, so I had FRIDAY detect when he mouths things and she repeats it in a voice that sounds like his!"
Steve beamed.
"This is him... Huh... Well, I'm Steve."
The blonde reached his arm out and Peter shook his hand. Steve smiled.
"Glad to meet you."
Each of the heroes one-by-one shook his hand and sat down. Loki gave the boy a worried/confused look, before shaking his hand. Peter was smiling the whole time. Loki tilted his head to the side.
"Aren't you scared of me?"
Peter couldn't stop himself from mouthing what he was thinking. FRIDAY thankfully picked it up.
"You're Loki, the literal God of Mischief! That's like the coolest thing ever! You have magic and have been places I could never even dream of going! Yeah, you've done some horrible stuff in the past, but you didn't have a choice and were forced to do those things. Just because you make mistakes or bad choices, doesn't mean you're evil. You have to know all the facts and the facts are you had no choice. Why would I be scared or hate you for doing something I would have done in that situation?" (This is FRIDAY translating for Peter)
The room that was kinda quiet, was now dead silent. Thor glanced up at his brother, noticing a single tear in his eyes. Loki quickly blinked and pulled Peter into a hug.
"Thank you... I didn't think about it that way... Nor did I think I needed to hear it."
Peter wrapped his arms around the god and smiled.
