"Dad?"
Tony almost smiled at the sound of Peter, glad he was home. He turned and was about to speak when he realized the way he spoke. It was soft, a bit broken, and worried. He looked at the way his son was leaning against the wall, the way his knees looked like they could collapse. He noticed the dark rings that he could barely see under his eyes. He noticed the small amounts of red, blue, and purple on his skin. His breathing hitched at the sight of a dark red on his hoodie.
"Peter?"
He shot up and made it to the boy just before he fell forward. He collapsed into his father's arms, his body finally giving out.
"Kid!?"
