| Jimin ; Angst |
He could remember everything as if it happened yesterday. They were memories that would forever haunt him. Memories he would never forget. They were the only memories that he treasured, the only memories that made him happy.
Jimin looked up the star filled sky. A smile forming on his lips at the thought of you. You who had taught him to smile, you who had taught him kindness, you who had taught him love. To Jimin, you were the embodiment of love. Everything about love was you for Jimin. Only you.
The way you smiled would mess with his head, your voice would soften his heart, your face would punch the air out his lungs, your touch felt like sparks. With you, Jimin thought that being in love was the best thing a human could ever feel.
He couldn't explain it properly with words, it felt like he was safe. He felt like everything was okay. He felt like nothing else ever mattered. He felt so content and happy. He wanted you by his side, always.
His fingers felt right interlocked with yours, the nights he spent cuddled up to you felt right. But he knew, that nothing was right. Everything was wrong.
He could still remember the mornings where you'd make him his favorite breakfast. He'd wake up to see you in the kitchen with an apron and a plate of food just for him. He could still remember the evenings where he'd open his lunch to see the meal you prepared along with a cheesy pick up line written on a note. He could still remember the evenings where you'd stress over his homework as he watched giggling. He could still remember the nights where you'd make sure he was warm wrapped with your arms.
He could still remember how you smiled even with blood flowing down your chin and to the floor. He could still remember how you tried to act as if you were fine. He could still remember the lock of shock and betrayal that came over your face when he pulled out his knife. He could still remember the regret and pain he felt when the sharp object dug in your flesh.
Jimin's eyes lingered on your body on the floor, he felt like his whole world shattered. Emptiness swallowed the content in his heart and only left a dark void he could never fill. It felt like the universe turned its back on him. And when he left with a dark chuckle, Jimin fell down on his knees.
He called your name over and over again, hoping that everything was a nightmare and that he'd wake up with you on your shared bed. He knew that it would never happen, but he still tried. He tried so desperately. He blamed himself, everything was his fault.
"I love you, my precious angel. My Park Jimin."
Your last words would still echo inside his head. He would never forget it, he would take it down with him to his grave.
He looked down the bonfire, before his eyes went to the photo he held with his hand. Your charming smile formed tears in his eyes. The way your arms wrapped around his smaller figure made him yearn for it. His hand shook wildly, he never wanted to let go. But in the end, he did. And to the fire the photo went.
Jimin turned around and walked away. Slowly, he took steps further away from the tree. The tree where you confessed your never ending love for the man that you never thought would end your life in exchange for six more.
