"Hey, Jungkook. Are you awake?"

Just in time before his patience ran out, a voice had called him from outside the tent that he shared with Yoongi. The boys' gift for him for his birthday was a three day camping and he loved it. He enjoyed every single moment that he spent with his hyungs and you, his boyfriend for four years now. But the thing that he was slightly disappointed with was that you were put in a separate tent to sleep, so nothing unholy would happen was what the boys reasoned out.

Tonight was the last night of camping and it was also his birthday, everyone was tired as hell from all the activities they did all day so they went to sleep after the feast like dinner. Jungkook stayed up though, because while eating, you had whispered against his ear to stay awake and wait for you to fetch him later.

He did and was happy to sneak out the tent without waking Yoongi up. You both stood outside, bodies close to each other. He stared up at you with big doe eyes that captured your heart with a grin on his face. You smiled back and placed a gentle kiss on his forehead before taking his hand in yours and led him away from the base.

"Where are we going?" He giggled, your hand giving his a gentle squeeze.

"Somewhere you'll love, sweetheart." You looked back at him with a charming smile, a smile that almost made Jungkook's heart jump out his chest.

He trusted you and followed with careful steps as you continued to led him through trees, he then noticed how small lanterns where placed on the ground to light the way and he grinned at how beautiful they looked. It was surely worth picture taking. The night was gorgeous with the crescent moon and the stars that twinkled with it.

Jungkook wanted time to stop as he stared at your figure. He felt overwhelming happiness to be with you, he wanted nothing but to stay by your side. He was so lost in his thoughts that he never noticed that the both of you have stopped in front of a huge tree. He looked up and his lips parted in amazement. 

The tree's branches were decorated with lanterns and fairy lights, and beneath it was what looked like a small tent with small pillows and blankets (bruh, idk how to describe those). It was straight out of those romantic stories that he read, it was beautiful and cute. 

You let go of his hand and went behind him, your arms wrapping around his waist as you set your chin on his shoulder, "Happy birthday, baby."

His eyes continued to adore your work, happiness filling him to the brim at the thought of spending a lot of time with you there. He leaned more into your warmth, preparing himself to hear another speech.

"I'm so grateful for your parents for giving birth to such a wonderful man like you." You started, kissing the side of his head, "You're my happiness. My source of strength and confidence, my light and life. You're my everything, Jeon Jungkook. You deserve more than what this world can offer. Always be happy, safe, healthy and humble, bunny. I love you so so much more than this whole universe. Always."

Jungkook closed his eyes and listened intently, he felt overjoyed, he couldn't explain it anymore. He let out tears stream down his face. No matter how many years pass by, he was still your precious baby. He always will. He always will be the man that you love with everything you'be got.

Just when he thought things couldn't get more better, he looked down when your hand pulled out something from your pocket. A small black box and surprised was an understatement. He stared at it as if it was an alien's gadget that he just saw for the first time in his life. He stood still between your arms until you opened it and a beautiful engagement ring met his sight.

"Will you spend the rest of your birthdays with me, love?" You whispered, pressing another kiss on his cheek.

He turned around and wrapped his arms around your neck, sobs escaping his lips. You hugged him close, a hand rubbing his back as the other still held the box.

"My sweet little baby." You cooed before chuckling.

It took him a few minutes to calm down over what he had heard, and when he did, he pulled away from the hug and spoke between sniffles, "Yes. We'll spend the rest of eternity together."

It felt surreal, he couldn't believe it at all. He never thought that would happen that night. He watched with teary eyes as you slid the ring on his ring finger, a huge smile on your face. Jungkook looked up at you with puffy eyes, the both of you chuckling before he fell into a sobbing mess once again.

"Happy birthday, my future L/n Jungkook."
