Jordan's P.O.V.
I feel my body hit the chair and I immediately tense up. My eyes go wide, and everything goes black. I can feel my body cracking and my bones breaking. I let out screams, but I feel no pain in my head. Suddenly, I can see a light. I start walking towards it, there is a blue door. It looks familiar and I reach out to open the door.
I walk through into a room. I look around and feel at peace. A beautiful woman comes descending in a bright white light. I watch with wonder as the woman lands perfectly in front of me. She has gorgeous silver hair and stormy blue eyes. Her skin is tanned and pops against the bright white dress that hangs off her. I can feel myself wanting to submit, but I fight the urge and keep eye contact with the woman.
"Jordan, you do not have to submit to me. I know that you are beneath me and so do you. We do not have to keep formalities," the woman smiles at me. It is a genuine smile and her words do not piss me off like they normally would. I smile back, this place makes me feel so at peace. I do not have to fight to keep sane or not go on a rampage. I can smile and feel free.
"Where am I and who are you?" I ask the woman and look around at the beautiful forest we are in. There are tall trees that cover the sun except the little bit that peers through and hits the forests' floor. There are birds chirping and I can hear water running off in the distance.
"Aw, my love. I am the Moon Goddess and you are in between realms right now. You have a decision to make Jordan," She replies calmly, and my eyes widen at the revelation. I'm in between realms? The Moon Goddess is talking to me? I feel myself nodding along to her, hoping she would finish explaining. However, the Moon Goddess simply turns around and starts walking away.
My head tilts and I watch her curiously. I decide it's best that I follow her and just ask my questions. "Moon Goddess-" I start and she clears her throat, cutting me off.
"Please, call me Iris," she smiles at me and I nod, continuing.
"Iris, why am I here? How did I get here? What decision do I have to make?" I start rambling out questions, not even giving her time to reply. She starts laughing at me and I stop, looking up at her and seeing the amusement in her eyes.
"Jordan, I gave you the fate you have for a reason. You are strong enough to rule and be the Royal Luna. Liam is your rightful mate. You will see that soon enough," She begins, and I look at her with more confusion than before. I had not even thought about him at all.
"I'm sorry Iris, but I never asked about him. I am not even sure that he crossed my mind at all," I say, shaking my head. I really do not know that I care about him in the slightest. I recognize the mate bond we have, but not what that is supposed to mean and represent.
"I know, dear, but soon you will see he is the key," Iris ends and before I can ask her anything else the white light grows around her and she begins to disappear.
"Wait! Wait! Moon Goddess! Iris! I still have no idea what to do!" I shout at her even after the light has already enveloped her and she is long gone. How the hell was that helpful at all? I know nothing more than I did about my situation than before. I groan. My feet start moving as if they knew what to do even though I was clueless.
For what felt like hours, I wandered around the forest. I was trying to get to the source of water. I know I feel most at peace around it. However, I could still not locate the damn source of the noise. It sounds like a rushing river.
Groaning loudly, I sit on a rock and look around. I put my head in my hands. I have no idea what to do. I have no idea where I am or anything. This decision that Iris was telling me about, what is it? Everything is just a mess in my head, and I cannot make any sense of anything.
'Estelle,' I reach out, hoping maybe she can provide some guidance. To my surprise, she doesn't answer. 'Estelle,' I try again, demanding her to respond. Again, I am left with no response.
Estelle always answers, but now even she is no help. I mean when is she ever helpful? I roll my eyes and get up, deciding that sitting on my ass won't get me any closer to answers. I start walking around and listening to the water again. I start walking toward the noise it makes as it flows down the river. I breath in through my nose and close my eyes.
Plopping down on the ground, I decide to meditate. The power courses through me, but it is not chaotic energy like it normally is. I call out to the elements and ask them to lead me to the water. They come rushing to me, but they do not point me in the direction to go. I sigh and open my eyes.
I gasp as I am met with black eyes staring back at me. The wolf yips at me playfully and I stand. "Who are you?" I ask and feel someone requesting to mind link with me. I allow the wolf to speak to me.
'Jordan, I am hurt you do not remember me,' the voice is light and sweet. It is so familiar. I just cannot seem to figure out who it belongs to. 'Jordan, look at my coat color,' the wolf turns around to give me a full view of her. She is amber colored with speckles of black throughout. She is beautiful and strong. I can feel her power.
My body stiffens. "Freyja."
