Jordan's P.O.V.
I wait for the idiot mate of mine to find me in the kitchen. Frank walks over to me and hands me some strawberries. I give him a huge smile and thank him. Strawberries have always been my favorite. Frank kisses my cheek and walks back to stove and continues making dinner.
Liam walks in and I can feel him studying me. I probably should not be showing as much of my power as I have been, but he is my mate. He will learn soon. I turn around and look at him lazily. I start walking out of the kitchen with the strawberries. Liam follows behind me not sure what else he should do.
I walk over to the pack's training grounds eating my strawberries, nonchalantly. I stop on the platform and cross my legs. My dress comes up, but I was wearing black spandex underneath just for this. I finish my strawberries and wait for him to sit next to me. Some of my pack members look up from training to see us. Everyone is aware we are mates, and my pack has been very worried about how we will decide to rule together. They are apprehensive of Liam and the others; they have good reason to be.
The Royals have never been this far out. Our pack has never met them or interacted with them in the slightest. Now, for their Luna to be mated to the royal alpha, well, they are more unsure than before. Liam sits next to me and crosses his legs as well. He looks at me expectantly, waiting for me to explain.
I turn to my pack and link them to mind their business and continue training. They all immediately look away and continue doing whatever they were prior. I smile and look back at Liam. "I assume you have questions about my powers and how I am able to do so much without feeling weak afterwards," I stare at him, waiting for a response. He nods his head. "I will explain everything in due time, but first, I want to see what you're capable of," I turn my head away from him and wait.
"I'm sorry Jordan, I don't understand what you want me to do," Liam says, his voice doesn't hide his confusion. I sigh and shake my head. Of course, he doesn't understand. Stupid alphas.
"I want you to meditate and feel the universe around you. I want you to get in touch with your powers," I look at him and he tilts his head as if he is more confused now than before. I groan and feel myself losing more and more patience as we talk. I decide maybe he is a visual learner instead. I close my eyes and begin meditating.
The power immediately comes to me when I call for it. I smile as it envelops me in warmth. I open my eyes and see I am now slightly levitating, and my blue hair is in the air flowing all around me. I smile and look down at Liam who looks up at me with wide eyes and true confusion. I call to the water and form a ball in my hands. I playfully throw it at him. It soaks him, but he does not move. He still looks at me with confusion and slight fear in his eyes.
I smirk, he should be afraid of me. I lower myself back to sitting on the platform next to him. "Now, can you please try to meditate and call upon the power?" I ask him and smile. He shakes his head but begins meditating. I watch as the power rushes around him. He's strong, good. I don't want a weak mate. "Now, focus. We will start with wind. It is easier to sense and control. Feel the wind around you. Ask it if it will accept you as its master," I speak softly to him.
His eyes are moving around ferociously under his eyelids as he tries to call to the wind. I feel a slight breeze come on. I smile. "Okay, now tell the wind what you want it to do Liam," I speak softer than before not wanting to break his concentration. He struggles and grunts out. "Calm down. You have to stay calm for the energy to listen," I rub his arm to try and soothe him.
His eyes pop open and the breeze disappears. I sigh but am slightly proud he even got the breeze. How can the Royal Alpha be so damn dumb when it comes to this though? I expected him to know these things. The werecouncil taught me how to control the basic elements the first day I was with them. It came to me naturally and by the end of the week, I had mastered the four elements and had moved on to controlling other things.
Liam is staring at me. He clears his throat and asks, "How did you learn about all of this? I have never met a wolf that can do the things you do, Jordan." I turn my body to completely face him. I know how powerful I am, but I wasn't aware other wolves could not control the elements like I could. No one in my pack could either, but I just assumed it was due to them being below me. I assumed other Lunas and Alphas possessed the power to control the elements.
"When I was with the werecouncil, they taught me how to meditate and calm myself. The elements came running to me as soon as I allowed myself to reach peace. The council told me that I was blinded by rage before, so I could never control them. Once I found peace, the elements found me," I explain without breaking eye contact. His eyes are so beautiful even when filled with pure confusion. He honestly looks like a young boy from this angle.
"They kept fleeing from me. I would reach out to touch them and they would run. They would not accept me as their master," Liam looks down and he almost sounds disappointed. I shrug it off and stand up.
"Come on, we'll go somewhere that may help you find peace," I grab his hands and smile. "Hold on lover boy." I state simply and teleport us back to the stream he found me at.
