Jordan's P.O.V.
I clear my throat and take my pack in. All my pack, including Liam's warriors. I suppose they will be mine as well soon enough. I wait for everyone to face me and stop talking, which doesn't take long. I motion to my wolves to join me on stage.
"I apologize for making you all wait and setting the plans back, but I shall make this quick. I would like to introduce the three wolves who will be joining you in your battle." I motion to Freyja, Cerra, and Lilah and briefly introduce them. I do not want anyone knowing who they are to me. If anyone ever got word that I possess more than wolf, I will be hunted, and my pack's wellbeing will be at great risk.
"I will not be joining you in battle, however, I will be with you every step of the way. Freyja, Cerra, and Lilah will lead you into battle and they will be the ones who kill Alpha Drake. As most of you can see, I am covered in blood. This blood belongs to none other than our very pack mate Luke, who I found snooping around in my room. He was placing cameras around my room, so Alpha Drake could spy on me." I smile widely and think back to Luke's eyes as I drained them of their life.
What a beautiful sight it is to see. You can see the person replaying everything in their mind. Every memory they ever made. Their eyes gloss over and they typically beg for their lives or cry out in pain, but Luke did not. He was a normal wolf. He lived amongst us and ran a hardware store in our pack's town. Luke was nothing special. He requested to transfer here a year ago when his wife passed. She wasn't his mate, but he was still heartbroken.
Crazy to think that he could plot against me. I wonder just how powerful Alpha Drake is, to be able to manipulate and control a grown wolf is a lot, but I know that my pack can handle him. I return focus to my pack. They are all infuriated and itching to leave and go kill every wolf that gets in their way. A smile returns to my lips and I continue, "I killed Luke after retrieving the information I needed. I would like to remind every single wolf in my pack, that you can and will be replaced if you think about crossing me," I growl and flash my canines. Everyone flashes their neck in submission.
Freyja howls to let me know it is time for this war to begin. "Shift and head out! Follow these wolves," I motioned to my three gorgeous wolves, "They will lead you to victory." Everyone shifts and they take off running to the neighboring pack. It's about an hour drive from here, but the run will only take them ten minutes with their speed. I turn around to head back to the packhouse and start paperwork.
I hate the idea of my pack fighting without me, but I have my wolves there to protect them. Freyja promised to link me if they came across any trouble. A gasp of shock leaves my mouth as I see Liam still standing behind me. "What are you doing? You need to go!" I shout and start pushing him off the platform.
A low chuckle leaves his lips and despite being mad at him for earlier, a smile comes across my lips. Liam turns and grabs my hands. He plants his feet and I stop to look at him. A beautiful smile takes over his face and his blue eyes are sparkling. "Jordan, you will explain everything to me when I return. We need to sit down and talk about how you and I are moving forward in our mating, but for now," He picks me up and my legs wrap around his waist instinctively. "Now I just want a good luck kiss before I head out to battle," Liam has a playful glint is his eyes.
I sigh and move closer to give him a gentle kiss, but he immediately deepens in and makes it more passionate. I have only pecked him quickly before, to escape him or make him do as I wanted, but this kiss... This kiss was different.
Our bodies felt as if they were melding together. His lips were so soft and full. They moved with mine in such a rhythm, it felt like they were dancing. We fight for dominance in the kiss and I finally give him a little lead way. He takes control eagerly and lets his tongue roam around my mouth as if looking for something in my mouth. I bite his tongue playfully and we both pull away panting. I can feel and smell his arousal.
His eyes are swirling between black and blue; I know mine are going back and forth between green and black. I let out a content sigh and allow myself to just enjoy the mate bond for once instead of fighting it. I did promise the goddess to fulfill my mating with him, but the only thing that attracted me to him was the bond. I knew nothing about him and that was what worried me the most. He could turn out just like my father or all the other asshole alphas that have approached me before.
"I agree we have lots to talk about when you return, but for now, go kick some ass Alpha," I grin and unlatch myself from him and stand on my own two feet. Liam nods and shifts before running after the rest of the pack.
