Liam's P.O.V.
My ego is bruised. I am totally embarrassed and pissed. However, the amount of power that was coming off her in that instant, I knew best than to say anything. I groan as she takes off running to her room. I rub my face and think back to what Braven told me the second night we were here. I need to be cautious of her.
I start walking towards the training grounds and start thinking about the war. What wolves does Jordan have coming to the battle? She hasn't talked to anyone other than me and Oliver. I have been watching her minus while she showered earlier and when I originally stormed out, but there was no phone in her room. She couldn't have linked anyone from another pack.
I sigh as I approach the platform. Warriors start to pile in front of me and stand waiting patiently. I clear my throat. "Today, we wage war on a pack who is controlled by an abusive Alpha who has violated laws that the werecouncil put in place centuries ago. Despite attempts to reason with Alpha Drake, he has continued his reckless control. As your Royal Alpha and Alpha of all Alphas, I will lead you to victory, and I will not allow this behavior to continue," I finish the half-prepared speech and hear warriors hooting and hollering. They probably didn't hear a single word I said, they just want to battle. I mean they do train their whole lives for war.
I dismiss them to say their final goodbyes before we head out. Three wolves start descending the hill from the packhouse towards the pack. I have never seen them before, and I start to realize that these must be the wolves Jordan was referring to. I look at my watch, it is now 9:42. We leave in three minutes. Where is Jordan?
The wolves approach me and let out yips of happiness as they approach the pack. Some members look up at me with questioning glances. I look around for Jordan, expecting her to be here to explain who they are. My face cannot hide my disappointment when I still cannot find her. The biggest wolf of the three approaches me and looks me over. I feel someone requesting to link me. I immediately accept.
'Hi, my name is Freyja. I assume you are Alpha Liam?' The amber speckled wolf looks me up and down as if determining that I am worthy.
'You assume correct, but may I ask how you came in contact with Jordan and why she asked you for help?' I question and tilt my head to look at her. To my surprise, Freyja just gives me a goofy grin and walks away to join the other two she arrived with.
I rack my mind for where I have heard that name before. Freyja... It sounds so familiar. I look around again before finally seeing Jordan running towards us. I look down at my watch. 9:45. She sure knows how to make someone wait. She finally makes it to the podium and that is when I see the blood covering her clothes and hands.
I immediately inspect her to see if she is hurt. "Liam, quit moving and touching me!" She shouts out me, but I continue until I am satisfied nothing is wrong with her.
"Whose blood is this? What happened? Are you okay? Who are those wolves? How do you know them?" I start rambling off question after question. Jordan just stands tapping her foot, waiting for me to shut up, so she may begin. I snap my mouth shut and look at her expectantly waiting for her to answer.
Jordan turns to face the crowd. She clears her throat and begins speaking. What she says next has everyone in the pack growling and shaking with anger, but confusion is in everyone's eyes swirling.
