Chapter 43

Jordan's P.O.V.

Seth, Frank, and I get a booth and start looking over the menu. Liam and one of the warriors seem to be deep in conversation about something. We go ahead and order the drinks for the table. Ten minutes later Liam and the warrior finally walk in. Liam slides in the booth next to me and gives me a smile.

"Hey sugar, what can I get you to drink?" The waitress approaches the table and bats her lashes at Liam. I bite my tongue and let the girl flirt with him.

"I'll just take a water," Liam doesn't pay the girl any attention. He's studying over the menu. She leans over and pushes her boobs out a little.

"Our cheeseburgers are the best in town," she pushes the menu down and points at it. Liam looks up and she bats her lashes at him again. Her boobs are practically spilling out over the top of her uniform. I snarl my nose up in disgust, but don't show any signs of my jealousy. Seth clears his throat.

"I'll take a cheeseburger," he smiles at the girl. She rolls her eyes and jots down his order. Frank orders his food. I continue giving Seth dirty ass looks. The girl is clearly a dumb whore of a human. She turns to me.

"And what can I get you?" She pops her gum and taps her foot impatiently. I roll my eyes at her, then put on my calmest face I can muster.

"I'll take a cheeseburger with fries and a chocolate milkshake. The man you've practically rubbed your tits on will have the same. Also, go ahead and get a different waitress over here. Oh, and next time sugar, order a shirt size bigger. Clearly that one doesn't fit your boobs," I give her a big smile. Her mouth hangs open and she stops away. Seth burst out laughing. Liam looks completely taken back. "What?" I look around the table.

Seth keeps laughing. Frank just shakes his head and scolds me. Liam still has a stupid baffled look on his face. I turn to face him and raise my eyebrows waiting.

"Well damn sugar didn't realize you were the jealous type," Liam smirks and leans in closer to me. "Don't worry, my eyes only see you," he whispers in my ear. His breathe fans my ear, and I feel goosebumps rise all over my body. My eyes lock on the waitress. I decide to really prove my point.

I pull Liam back in and kiss him. The sparks shoot all over my body. Liam slowly starts kissing me back. The kiss becomes passionate and needy. God this is the best kiss of my life. I wonder what sex is going to be like with- WHAT AM I THINKING?! I break the kiss off and we both are breathing heavy. My face is on fire and I know it is red. I look over at Seth who has his eyebrows raised and his mouth hanging open.

"Woah... You feel better now Jordan?" Seth smirks and bites back a laugh. I give him my infamous 'go to hell' look and he raises his hands up in surrender. Liam chuckles and my body feels with warmth all over again. He puts his hand on my lower back and rubs circles. The sparks light up all over my body with every movement of his fingers.

Liam leans over to whisper in my ear again, "Jordan, your heat is close. I can smell you." I gulp audibly and shudder. Everything he is doing makes me feel warm and tingly. Seth and Frank are chatting about Goddess knows what. Liam moves his hand to my upper thigh. He just rubs up and down my leg. I'm so glad I decided to wear jeans today.

"Here's your food," an older waitress starts passing out the food, distracting me for a moment. We all begin eating, talking about how delicious the food is. The whore wasn't lying, they do have good cheeseburgers.

"So, are you going to share with the rest of us what you and your warrior were talking about outside for so long?" Frank asks Liam. His tone is very direct. I can sense he is worried. Liam swallows the fries he had in his mouth.

"There's a car that has been following us since we got out of pack land. It is parked over on top of the hill over there. We are going to drive the whole way to the castle rather than shifting and running. We are looking into who is driving and what is going on," Liam wipes his mouth with a napkin. Braven walks up to the table and gives Liam a look.

"Excuse me. Go ahead and use the bathroom. I'm going to take care of the bill," Liam kisses my cheek and then walks away with Braven. I look at Seth and Frank with a confused look.

"Who could be following us?" They both shrug. We all walk toward the restroom. Liam positions a guard outside the door to keep watch while we do our business. Whoever is following us is clearly more of an issue than Liam is making it out to be.

We finish up and take care of everything inside. Seth, Frank, and I walk outside to Braven and Liam having a hushed conversation. I raise my eyebrows, but Liam disregards me.

"Alright, let's get back on the road," Liam claps his hands and smiles. We all depart into the cars. Liam climbs into the back with me. I give him a pointed look and wait. "Not right now Jordan. Let's take a nap, we'll discuss as soon as we wake up," he smiles and pulls me over into his lap. I sigh and give in. We allow sleep to pull us into darkness, settling in for the four-hour ride still lying ahead of us.
