Jordan's P.O.V.

My eyes open slowly. I start wiping them trying to get all the crust out of them. I look around to see the damp walls of the cave. My body is aching and I'm shivering. Lilah must've gone back to my heart already, so no one saw her. I approach the mouth of the cave and look out. It looks to be about noon, meaning Liam is probably back and I have been missing for the whole day.

I groan and hop out of the cave. I mumble the spell to hide the entrance and begin walking back to the pack house. I have to shift a few minutes in. I'm too sore to walk anymore and Estelle needs to be let out for a run anyway. Estelle takes over and I allow myself to sink back further into my mind. Freyja has tried to link me since I woke up, but I just can't bring myself to talk to her or Cerra right now. The fact they have withheld my memory from me hurts. I know it was meant to protect me, but I deserved to know before now.

Estelle runs all the way to the entrance of the manor. The guards open the doors for my big wolf body and Estelle runs up the stairs to my room. I shift back and run a bath. I sit there for a long time. I don't wash my body, I don't move, I just sit in the water until it is ice cold. Beta Oliver has tried to link me several times, along with several others. I let Oliver and Frank know that I need the day to myself to think some things out.

I take a shower and scrub my skin until it is red and stinging. When I finally get out, I wrap my hair and body in a towel. I brush my teeth and go to get dressed. The towel drops to the floor and I look at my body in the mirror. The scars are everywhere. Some of the scars, I never knew where they came from, but I do now. My fingers trace the deepest scar on my ribs. Drake did that when he...

I shake my head trying to get the memory out of my mind. I quickly throw some sweats and a baggy hoodie on. I brush through my hair quickly and leave out the backdoor of the manor. I try to avoid as many people as I can. My car is in my eyesight, I put my head back down and fumble with the key to hit the unlock button. I bump into a hard chest. Sparks shoot over my body and I mentally groan. The one person I was really trying to avoid today.

"Hi, I've been looking for you, where are you going?" Liam questions and wraps his arms around me in a hug. It is so warm and makes me feel safe. I let myself enjoy it for a little longer before wiggling out of his arms.

"I have some errands I need to run. I will be back before the day is over," I answer and move to get into my car.

"I can go with you and we can talk?" He suggests and scratches the back of his head, looking at the ground. Something is wrong with him, but I don't have time to deal with that right now. I have to get out of here for a while before I lose it in front of everyone. I refuse to appear weak in front of my pack and in front of Liam.

"Liam, I'd rather go alone. I just need to clear my head and think. I promise when I come back, we will talk," I open my door and shut it. I start the car and drive away before he can say anything. The tears start rolling down my cheeks before I even get out of the driveway. I stop at the end and wipe my eyes.

I look left and right. "AWWWWW!" I scream when I look to the right and see Grim staring into my car. I roll the window down, "WHAT THE FUCK LIAM?! YOU ALMOST GAVE ME A HEART ATTACK! QUIT MASKING YOUR SCENT!" I scream at the big idiot wolf looking at me. He lays his ears back and rolls his eyes at me. I groan. "You're not letting me go alone, are you?" The wolf shakes his head 'no'. I sigh and unlock the car.

Liam shifts and hops in. I feel my cheeks warm up and I know I'm blushing. "Urm, there's some clothes in the backseat. I think I have some basketball shorts and a black tee shirt for a guy your size," I hurriedly mumble. Liam reaches in the back and searches around before finding them. He quickly slips the shorts on. I finally look over and ogle at his abs.

Liam clears his throat and I look back at the road, knowing the blush has taken over my whole face at this point. "Where are we headed, tomato?" Liam asks and smiles at me.

"We're going to see my mom..." I trail off and start the three-hour drive to her cottage on the outskirts of the pack land and human town.
